In fact, one of the best ways to get into heaven in Islam is via martyrdom, dying or great suffering in the cause of Allah, so suicide bombers rightly see themselves as martyrs and Allah will reward them in the afterlife for the greatest act a Muslim can achieve in Islam - martyrdom.

Islam means "submission (to the will of Allah as stated in the Koran)" - it has nothing to do with peace, unless by peace you mean forced conformity, intimidattion, and the application of sharia law. Also, there is nothing "forgiving" about Islamic law (sharia). Christianity is the religion of love and forgiveness, not Islam - and I'm saying this as an atheist.

But you were spot on about islam; people who say islam is not about militancy and enforced submission from their god don't realise what the qu'ran actually says. @GuestMega Yeah, and the "holy prophet" was supposed to be the best example of Muslims for all time. So why don't most modern Muslim men continue to marry 9 yr-old girls and have multiple wives? How can Mohammed be the best example of a MUSLIM if he had more than 4 wives? Koran only permits 4 wives at most, but Mohammed had many more than 4 - this makes him a very poor Muslim.

Thus, technically speaking, all non-Muslims are apostates of Islams, and we know how Islamic law deals with apostasy. How can Mohammed be the best of Muslims? He had more than 4 wives - he's not a good Muslims by "Allah's" (Mohammed's alter ego) standards for a Muslims as stated in the Koran.
