  • Scuola Granatiere a Isone TI ?

  • I remember carying the BEAST "into position" through a forest. It was mounted on the field tripod(24kgs, gun 16.6kgs), on my back to the usual stuff + the 606 shots 7.5mm(27kgs). I was in front, the gunner in the back, i felt over a root, two bipods digged themselves into the ground and the movement stopped immediatly. Poor Gunner, he ran into the stock an after hitting his juwels he felt over the gun and me. Instructors comment "War is over, enemy loughs himself to death. Try again in 5.

  • @Aposcht get yo self an mg 3 mofo

  • If he's in the Swiss Army, it's an MG51 in 7.5mm Swiss.

  • @TheCoyote808 Why can't I put my thumb up your comment?

  • For the last time this weapon you see firing here is a swiss made MG51. It is similer to the Mg42 but major changes have been made for example the reciever is cut out of solid steel block (not rolled steel like the 42) also severe changes have been made to the blowback system. Rate of fire is 1000 RPM. It is chambered for 7.5 x 55 GP11 rounds (mg42 uses 7.92x57 mauser, mg3 uses 7.62x51 NATO) Now stop calling geilerr an idiot !

  • Italian Swiss?

  • mg-51 gas operated. producid din 1940. is not a version of to mg42-mg-3

  • @Sarcasm0ate0 yes, but with better quality parts and heavy components ;)

  • What a beast!! Impressive.

  • i have shotted nsv

  • it sucks bullets like hell

  • We are all in the Swiss Army!! From 18 to 40 for a few days each year. The best part is that we get to brim our SG550 home with all the equipment.

  • It's the best MG ever. And it's German MG. in use since 1942 when first wersion was delivered to frontlines.

  • He speaking romansh?

  • Nice shooting and nice clear video footage. Not the normal grainy stuff from a camera phone.

  • miticooooo XD

  • No its a MG 51. The MG 51 is Swiss and has Cal. 7.5 mm and its a littlebit Older than the MG3

  • that beast devours ammunition

  • Ach, da überkommt mich als Mitrailleur doch sowas wie Heimweh...

    Mir fehlt mein grosser Bleimückenverteiler.

  • the MG42 has a fire rate of 1600 rounds per minute. The downside was that the barrel got hot too quickly. But it must have had a tremendous sound. After WW2, the developers then created a little spring around the bolt pin but it's possible to take the spring out. Then any current MG3 will have the same fire rate as the MG42.

  • I dunno why but I laughed for a while when the dude sneezes. Oh and it looks like an MG3 but if it's supplied or manufactured by or for another country it might be given another designation. In any case it's a German pattern Machine gun.

  • I say its a MG3 (german)

  • you are an idiot it is an MG 3.

  • No, you really are an idiot. the MG51 is a cousin of the original MG42. Switzerland bought a whole bunch of old German equipment and designs at the end of WW2.

  • @schaerersteffi

its not an mg 3 its the swiss license version from the mg42, called mg 51! wich uses the gp11 aka 7,5swiss rounds

  • @schaerersteffi no it isn't. its very similar to the mg3 but the mg51 is swissmade

  • @schaerersteffi search for MG_51 on wiki ;)

  • @schaerersteffi no it based on the germanWH MG42 also the german BW MG3 but used not the same caliber like MG42 (WH used 7,92x57 IS)and the BW MG 3 used Natocaliber because of the greater Munition x57 the original MG 42 fired faster than its copies 25 rounds per secound

  • the ones we use in the Australian army were disintigrating link belt fed... but they are MG3's

  • MG74 ;)

i was trained on it at the army

  • als alter mitrailleur tut mir das auge weh bei den waffenmanipualtionen, beide keine ahnung. nur eine frage der zeit bis es zum kistenschuss kommt...

  • che bei ricordi l'MG51 e che suono !

  • this it's a Italian machinegun? because I heard Italian soldiers speaking each other.

by the way, nice MG :)

  • the mg 53,51 are copys of the mg42 which was used by the germans in ww2 i dont know the contry in which the mg51 is produced but i know the idead aka the machinegun itsself is german but made in itily or wherever and classed as an "italin" mag

  • ah sry its swiss but the idea is german and is based on the mg42 this shows just how sucsessfull the mg42 was the germans use mg3 the russians mg54 ths swiss the mg51

  • @fabiantronc Right, it's italian but spoken by the locals in Ticino, which is part of Switzerland. I am the guy standing yelling "vai,. vai, vai"

  • @Braun30 Hehehe

  • looked like fun

how were u able to fire a gun like that?

  • By joining the Swiss Army ;-)

  • oh man thats cool

  • im canadian and 16 can i still join?

    idk anything about swiss army

  • you are kidding right? if not you should be instantly shot

  • niente male dai..

  • What caliber was this particular '51?

  • Actually is the MG56 not the 51 sorry.. Its a NATO standard 7.5mm caliber, full metal jacket..

  • Oh wow, MG56.. Wasn't aware that there was another version of it around. You say NATO standard 7.5... Do you mean the NATO standard of 7.62? Or is 7.5 a caliber used in Norway? 7.5 is very uncommon here in the States..

    Thanks!

  • yeah the 7.62mm.. You seems to be an expert :-) Are u in the Swiss army too?

  • Haha, nah.. I'm just a firearms enthusiast/collector here in the United States. Unfortunately due to a medical condition I cannot serve my country like you can serve yours. So I collect military firearms! I happen to have a WWII German MG42 and was browsing through videos of others when I came across yours. Thanks for sharing it!

  • @geilerr Do the Swiss armed forces still use GP-11? Love that round.

  • @Gorbachev Yes its still in use, and for almost a century.. Very versatile round

  • 7.5mm x55 (Better known as 7.5mm Swiss)

  • GP 11 7.5mm

  • figata....

cazzo, a me mi hanno appena scartato da militare :(
