  • @StupidVids2009 See 2:50 in the video above

  • you totally sound like dr. phil, i love it!

    lol thanks for this!

  • So on the box of my MS9 Platinum Pro Pack, it says it comes with "360 audio soundtracks". Do I have to download those like the vst plug-ins? And the box also mentions "1001 sound effects". Are those the effects I need to download or are they already supposed to be there?

  • @Diamonddraw89 The sound effects are on a black CD that came in the box with Movie Studio. The 360 audio tracks are part of Cinescore Studio that is on the install disk

  • Found it. Mine actually didn't come with a separate disc, the effects and music were all on the install disc. I clicked "browse disc" and I found what I needed. :-) Thanks for your help though!

  • 5 Stars thanks for the tips.

  • Whenever i add videos, it doesn't add the audio, HELP ANYONE? URGENT!

  • This is a problem with the Kodak zi8 and other cameras that save in .mpeg4 using tge AAC LC codec which Vegas does not like. AAC LR is the more supported version of the AAC audio codec and acceptable to Vegas.

You can get around this by opening the video file in QuickTime Pro, choose 'export', set the video to 'pass through' so as not to change video quality, and set the audio codec to AAC-LR 128kbps.

Then export to a new file and open in Vegas

  • Thanks a lot, had a video due for Media Studies and was freaking out! But realise now that it was wroung format.

  • Ehm , when i got to sound effects the radio effect was missing...:S

    What should i do?

  • As mentioned in the video, you have to download and install the vst effects - they won't be there by default.

Search google for 'free vst' and you'll find plenty

  • ahh, ok.. thanks

  • hi i put a sound track into my sony vages 8 video clip and it has like fused together with the clip... how do i romove the track??

  • Put your mouse on the clip in the track, and drag the clip off onto another audio track

  • is only fow MS or i can download it to sony vegas 5 the radio AM one (1:25)

  • This works in Movie Studio and Vegas Pro

  • But it will work on my sony vegas 5?

    or not?

  • yea, works in version 8 too.

    toad

    many thanks

  • i always learn something new when i watch your tutorials. thanks for the great tips!

  • Hey Bill, how do you.. well it's hard to explain it's like, you want to play reverb for a certain amount of time on one clip, so how do you chop it up so it only lasts a certain amount of time on one clip?

  • If you don't want to apply an effect to the entire track, open the audio in an external audio editor (ie audacity), and apply the effects there. Then reimport the audio into movie studio

  • thanks for the help! =D

  • You have no idea how much you help me with everyone of your videos. thank you :)

  • Hey Bill. My Track FX is gone in sony vegas pro 8. How can I get it back?

  • you can click the Track FX button in the Faders control region to display the Audio Plug-In window for the track's effects chain

  • would it work for only sony movie studio??i have sony vegas

  • This works in Sony Vegas Pro and Sony Movie Studio Platinum

  • I was wondering how to get more sound effects.

  • You can purchase CDs filled with sound effects or find the 1001 Sound effects CD Sony includes with some versions of Sony Vegas and Movie Studio.

  • Do they work in sony vegas pro 8

  • Yes, VST addons work well in Vegas Pro

  • why arent you a partner yet

  • Thanks for asking. I've been a google partner for more than a year now.

  • Five Stars!!

  • I just checked in my Vegas 8 Pro and I see the VST category but there is nothing in it. I suppose we need to download free ones searching Google like he suggested. ...unless I somehow skipped it when I installed Vegas.

  • As you have discovered, VST effects do work in Vegas Pro. But you will need to download the free VST effects you want from various web sites

  • love it =D

  • nice videos man!

  • Now you tell us?

Wow if i knew this beforehand, sony vegas would have been MUCH easier!

    Thanks so much bill
