There are a number of factors.

First use compression, add to that the extra light gauge strings and the humbucker pickups.

That's a one piece rosewood neck/fretboard

You can do it; maybe not the way Carlos does, but you can.

I love Carlos beautiful choice of notes and bends. My son was 22 when he passed away from an addiction to Ritalin a very addictive amphetamine prescribed to him at age 12. He tried rehab but I later learned they need at least 90 days rehab, and when they're an adult you can't force them. Ritalin or Methylphenidate is now being compared to Cocaine on the way it effects you. Go to the FDA and read the warning. Adderall is just as bad. Be extremely careful what you give your kids. Those were the years ! Carlos' playing is totally inspired and expressive. Every shade of emotion is there. 'The feeling' is not something you can learn. You either have it or you don't. I love the way he really takes off at the end and carries the band with him. Great drumming too. I do not see many performances like that these days. Everything changed when the businessmen and lawyers moved into industry. Image over substance. Thank God Carlos is still with us!!!!!!!

yeah that Yamaha SGB 2000 was a hell of a guitar, I had one and sold like a dumb ass. I wish I could find a clean one. All the ones I find are trashed out. I like the feel and sound better that the PRS models.
