The power supply fan sucks cool air in the case (at least for the one you tried to fit in) Normal power supplies have one exhaust fan out the back.

Look. There are 2 screws on the front. take them out. The Optical drives will come RIGHT out. I learned that from trial and error.

its not "bonging" reset the parameter ram startup while holding cmd option p m the startup chime didnt go because you installed more than one component between startupswhich is bad for older macs, also i believe 128 GB is the HD Max on older macs those two combinedare proboably your problem.

Man, You could check before buying stuff :) Besides, the 2 screaws in the front would remove the Drive Bays, and there are 2 clips on the side to remove the front panel (not the whole thing, just the 2x 5.2 bays).

i think i may know your problem and it has to do witht he 500gb internal harddrives. the G4 takes only as max a 128gb...kinda an odd # but w.e. thats what it say in the manual i go from the internet. im fixing up a g4 like that too for video editing too...i hope it works. n i hope you solve your problem too.

NEVER EVER work on a computer on a carpet. Carpet= static. Static = bad. Use a solid floor, and you should ground yourself so you don't produce static shocks.

hey Dave the powermac g4s supported up to 3 hard drives so you could have 100 gigs(1998) but today buy 2 more 500gbs=1500 gigs but most build it your self pcs have like 7-10 hard drive bays

(I think the site said it can't use 3 because the newer hard drives are faster and take more power)
