It definately was in. Ok That computer animation. Was bogus.. First of all to make that save with the puck it would have had to hit the part of the pad that angles to cover the top of the toe of the goalie skate. The air did not save it. It was a goal. Computer animation proves it wasn't in. Gtfo.

It was 2 or 3 inches above the ice and from the angle of the original video looked in but if you were to look from straight above it would not have been in entirely. Digital rendering has been, and still is today, reasonably sketchy. It uses what's around it and takes its best guess at what the spacial position is. And in a game where the puck was literally inches from a goal, that's a big deal. The confidence interval of it being right is low, and it could place it easily within the net. So but not helpful.
