it will take ages because its rendering the quality to make it the best. Just be patient , should take like 40mins . most of my montages take up to 2 hours to render to HD.

it could be cause u set the frames to 60.. when i rendered my video to HD on 60 FPS (frames per second) it was really choppy and unwatchable.. when I did it again on 30 FPS the movie was fine.. try to set it to 30 FPS and see what happens.

note: I used Sony Vegas Pro.. not iMovie though.

Well, I tried 48.000 and it worked great, and I heard that mono is better, but My movie is about 6 minutes. Also all of my other movies were made with the same settings, so I don't think that the length really matters.

well thats the trade off for high quality buddy. also your vid once its uploaded will look like crap for another 2 to 3 hrs. wait and then the high quality button will appear underneath your video...
