the thing wrong with the head is that is doesnt have the correct shadowing for the position the head is in, it looks great, but thats the issue, also the fact you cant see the neck ( i know you're not supposed to at that view ) but it looks funny because we are used to seeing the neck on people, so to not see it, throws people off.

you are doing this the hard way man. Just draw and shade your figure with a loose brush before you go into detail. Do the spider web details last. You will be amazed at how much faster and authentic it will look.

ya the only thing im going to say, [even though i sat at the computer screen staring at ur artwork fr about twenty minutes because im trying to learn how to paint like so] is that the hand may have needed more shading from the light source because everything was so properly detailed and the hand was kind of like a red blob almost. but again, im still learning so i dont think u should consider this criticism worth changing lol ANYWAY, great job. it was truly amazing :)

meh ive seen better, you need to work on adding more shadows and more extreme highlights to bring it to life, adding some sort of texture to his suit would give it more depth as well, as its in photoshop that shouldnt take to long, just get a fish net type shape and covert it to a brush to stipple the suit.

you are able to replicate lighting effects (perhaps by looking at a picture, but meritable non the less) all you need work on is perhaps symmetry. other than that you did an awesome job, the final product looked great.
