  • Matt Pinfield is a legend in his own right. He always brings the best out of the artists.

  • @nick4man3 Seriously, he studies up. Going toe to toe with a musician like Thom would be no easy task. I completely agree with your statement.

  • this is the interview that appears in Meeting people is easy right?

  • wow...massive attack remixing ok computer would have been legendary stuff

  • lol what is up with that interviewr? thanks for stereotyping americans with ur fatass and american accent

  • @claywithak

There's no such thing as an "American" accent... He has a New Jersey accent.

  • @billyhigdon There is such thing as American accent... it's called GA - general American. It's an equivalent of British RP. Cheers

  • @mmarcioo17

I don't usually like arguing stuff like this... who am i kidding, of course i do. GA is mainly middle America... our coastal areas have very different sounding accents though... maybe just to me because i'm used to how people speak in Boston. But I can immediately tell if somebody is from California, Wisconsin, New Jersey, or Georgia within seconds. They all sound stupid except for me!

  • @billyhigdon

    howbout pittsburgh

  • Wow, the last few seconds of that video it was like my high school years flashed before my eyes.

  • @cynthiailly plain and boring?

  • this is SO 90's...i feel nostalgic.

the gloomy thom, the weird tv hosts, that top 10...

  • @robotophobia yeah, except everybody was increadibly more gloomy in the 2000s, try again.

  • Thom looks so incredibly bored and full of disdain. I love his honesty.

  • hmmm being there.. i need to see that Hal Ashby movie soon..

    heers Tom..you;re a legend

  • haha i love how the top 10 videos prove how half the world kept with the creep syndome and the other half listen to radiohead (and stoped voting on mtv)

  • Look at that top ten, nostalgia.

  • My thoughts exactly. The interview was great, but that top ten just sealed it for me! :D

  • he's abit of a porker

  • Thom York is so serious...i love that about him. too many people have a sense of humour these days...look at our world...it's in shambles...because of people who don't share the views of serious people like Thom York...and myself, as well. BE SERIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING PEOPLE....only then can we improve the human condition. BTW, today is NO JOKE DAY. no one say or do anything funny all day. thanks. THE REVOLUTION STARTS NOW!

  • You're a kiss ass. Not even Thom Yorke is as ridiculously strung up as you. You can be involved and have a sense of humour or be funny or what have you regardless of any problems in the world. Every generation has said that our world "is in shambles." Calm down, enjoy your life, and do your part in helping the world because trying to ignite a revolution through youtube is ridiculous.

  • How does it feel to be a bug fat joke?

  • what's a ...bug fat joke?

  • A blatant misspelling of big fat joke covered up by your defeat, and inability to provide a constructed rebuttal.

  • That's better.

Except happiness is an emotion, commonly induced by laughter ;)

  • "happiness that relates to laughter is not valid as an emotion. and we are all robots because of George Bush, anyway. so the laughter is programmed, obviously...resist humour." --Thom York (Oct. 18, 2006)

  • LMAO!

    link pls?

  • sorry...i have to go. bye-bye.

  • well anyway thom yorke can be very funny. especially when hes with the other band mates so hes more relaxed.

  • retard

  • NO, the world is in shambles because people have NO SENSE OF HUMOUR! its all political correctness bullshit,

  • You see Jesus in Thom. That is serious. Maybe you'd like to ask him out on a date?

  • but it would have to be a serious date! we would just be really serious the WHOLE time. why can't EVERYONE be as serious as Thom Yorke or i? sigh. (that was a serious sigh.)

  • 1:21 - "i don't have an eye for it."

  • Matt Pinfield is a pretty smart dude musically. I don't think he was annoying at all and I think Thom is always kind of uncomfortable in front of the camera anyway.

  • Agreed... On "Meeting People Is Easy" he seems the most at ease talking to Matt. Throughout the rest he is very uncomfortable. Now of days Thom seems to be enjoying the interviewing process though. I think he is finally at ease with himself, the camera, and his lifestyle. It's nice to see.

  • oh the 90s. seeing those albums at the end made me really remember.

  • wow this guy who's interviewing thom looks annoying, and thom looks annoyed. tan again this was the OK Computer era and he wasn't the happiest person.

  • i feel like, if i were interviewing thom yorke, i would be just like that guy ...sitting and staring dumbfoundedly ...nodding my head when in reality i'm just thinking over and over that i could never reach the kind of genius he's at lol. ilu thom <3

  • wow this makes me really hate the 21st century. music was so real in the 90s and mtv wasn't gay. i love interviews like this where the interviewer actually gives a fuck about the artist. thom is the greatest. "he had one of those umm...you ca...umm what do ya call umm...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh station wagon things" haha

  • "paranoid android... its really good at 4 o clock in the morning"

  • The funny thing about that is, when we were on our trip back from the Berlin gig this month (with car it needs 4 hours) I was in "half-sleep" in the middle of the night. There was something on the radio but it was on low volume. I thought "oh, at the moment everything sounds like thom yorke's voice.... but then I heard something like "god loves his children" and I screamed out "turn the volume up, it's radiohead" and it was special because normally there's always shit on the radio :D

  • Don't Drink The Water was considered alternative? Wow.

  • that's funny that massive attack wanted to remix ok computer. and the thing it, mezzanine, which came out that year, was one of massive attack's best.

  • Ah they showed some of this in Meeting People Is Easy.

  • Lol Thom looks like he's sleeping the first 20 seconds.

  • Wow, the old MTV, before it completely sucked.

    Memories.

  • mtv was never good it has always sucked massive cock with gallons of cum and piss with a nice dish of herpes

  • FASTBALL. i miss the 90's. i'm still waiting for their comeback.

  • wow, this is one of the better interviews I've seen with Thom. He's usually a tad difficult but then again he's always being asked redundant questions that piss him off!

  • I thought radiohead made their own videos, that was the other thing that got me about them.

  • who's the song in the end from? please reply....sounds like an arctic monkeys song before the guy starts singing

  • You make me feel so fucking old!

The song is "The Way"--by Fastball...

I remember when this interview aired. I remember when all you could hear on the radio was Fastball, that i made you sick!

Was that really ten years ago?.... approaching 30 is so fucking weired!

  • hahah thanks ;)and you still got time to live dont worry haha

  • 4am, I believe it. This whole interview, interviewer included has a "stuck at the airport" feel. I don't think Thom is on drugs. I think he's being a good sport.

  • no his not you fucking rat bag,he is fucking pure gold

  • mmmmm no not really

  • legendary

  • thom"zzzzzzzzz.lemme go to bed."

  • There are clips of this in MPIE.

    Whatever happened to Matt Pinfield?

  • yeah he's definitely tired from constant touring and playing.

  • Thom looks sleeeepy....

  • it is at 4 am
