I don't usually like arguing stuff like this... who am i kidding, of course i do. GA is mainly middle America... our coastal areas have very different sounding accents though... maybe just to me because i'm used to how people speak in Boston. But I can immediately tell if somebody is from California, Wisconsin, New Jersey, or Georgia within seconds. They all sound stupid except for me!
haha i love how the top 10 videos prove how half the world kept with the creep syndome and the other half listen to radiohead (and stoped voting on mtv)
Thom York is so serious...i love that about him. too many people have a sense of humour these days...look at our world...it's in shambles...because of people who don't share the views of serious people like Thom York...and myself, as well. BE SERIOUS ABOUT EVERYTHING PEOPLE....only then can we improve the human condition. BTW, today is NO JOKE DAY. no one say or do anything funny all day. thanks. THE REVOLUTION STARTS NOW!
You're a kiss ass. Not even Thom Yorke is as ridiculously strung up as you. You can be involved and have a sense of humour or be funny or what have you regardless of any problems in the world. Every generation has said that our world "is in shambles." Calm down, enjoy your life, and do your part in helping the world because trying to ignite a revolution through youtube is ridiculous.
Thom York is the second coming. you'll see. he';; teach us all to be serious. and we can all have serious children for a change...and hopefully outlaw humour. and therre wouldn't be any stupid, comical songs...it would all have this serious commentary...like all those sexy--but serious--Radiohead songs. another NO JOKE DAY is coming up...so get ready to restart the revolution...this Monday...be like Thom York and resist humour. just be serious. cry...if you can. the more emotional, the better.
"happiness that relates to laughter is not valid as an emotion. and we are all robots because of George Bush, anyway. so the laughter is programmed, obviously...resist humour." --Thom York (Oct. 18, 2006)
wrong! listen to Thom York...and imitate him...he our JESUS, man. he sacrificed his sense of humour, just to be in a really serious band...by the way...it's the NINE MONTH ANNIVERSARY of the first annual NO JOKE DAY! get ready for the next one...dedicated to Thom York...we must remember not to be funny, and take everything seriously. People will say "you take stuff too seriously." that's when you show them your cross with the name "Thom" written on it.
but it would have to be a serious date! we would just be really serious the WHOLE time. why can't EVERYONE be as serious as Thom Yorke or i? sigh. (that was a serious sigh.)
Matt Pinfield is a pretty smart dude musically. I don't think he was annoying at all and I think Thom is always kind of uncomfortable in front of the camera anyway.
Agreed... On "Meeting People Is Easy" he seems the most at ease talking to Matt. Throughout the rest he is very uncomfortable. Now of days Thom seems to be enjoying the interviewing process though. I think he is finally at ease with himself, the camera, and his lifestyle. It's nice to see.
wow this guy who's interviewing thom looks annoying, and thom looks annoyed. tan again this was the OK Computer era and he wasn't the happiest person.
i feel like, if i were interviewing thom yorke, i would be just like that guy ...sitting and staring dumbfoundedly ...nodding my head when in reality i'm just thinking over and over that i could never reach the kind of genius he's at lol. ilu thom <3
wow this makes me really hate the 21st century. music was so real in the 90s and mtv wasn't gay. i love interviews like this where the interviewer actually gives a fuck about the artist. thom is the greatest. "he had one of those umm...you ca...umm what do ya call umm...aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh station wagon things" haha
The funny thing about that is, when we were on our trip back from the Berlin gig this month (with car it needs 4 hours) I was in "half-sleep" in the middle of the night. There was something on the radio but it was on low volume. I thought "oh, at the moment everything sounds like thom yorke's voice.... but then I heard something like "god loves his children" and I screamed out "turn the volume up, it's radiohead" and it was special because normally there's always shit on the radio :D
that's funny that massive attack wanted to remix ok computer. and the thing it, mezzanine, which came out that year, was one of massive attack's best.
wow, this is one of the better interviews I've seen with Thom. He's usually a tad difficult but then again he's always being asked redundant questions that piss him off!
4am, I believe it. This whole interview, interviewer included has a "stuck at the airport" feel. I don't think Thom is on drugs. I think he's being a good sport.
Matt Pinfield is a legend in his own right. He always brings the best out of the artists.
nick4man3 9 months ago
@nick4man3 Seriously, he studies up. Going toe to toe with a musician like Thom would be no easy task. I completely agree with your statement.

@billyhigdon There is such thing as American accent... it's called GA - general American. It's an equivalent of British RP. Cheers
