I'm currently fighting for the love of my life, though we've hurt each other like crazy i just know that she's for me, but she has a boyfriend and as crazy as it may seem im fighting for her everyday because i just know that somehow somewhere ill reach to her and remind her that its "us"...patience and heart is gonna become my bestfriend for who knows how long but just remember when the tears start rolling to keep your head up high because regardless at least you tried! Shmily Jan 22 2012
My relationship that lasted over 2 years with my girlfriend had the best moments of my life :) but also some crappy moments, but I always fought for us. Until something really crappy happened and even though I fought for us and stood by her and supported her, she just gave in. Now she acts like our time together meant nothing. Whats the point when this wonderful, kind, funy person turns out to actually be one of the most horrible, cold, emotionless person you've ever met? Am I a cynic? Possibly?
@ImAnOddity Yeah its been just over 3 months now and i've felt much better for the last week and a bit. Just trying to have a good, fun summer before going to Uni and actually not that fussed about meeting someone atm, just enjoying life :) whereas she's doing stupid stuff like going out with an ex from years ago who cheated on her, splitting with him and sleeping with his cousin who is also her best friend's ex and first love. She's just a selfish, life-wreaking bitch. To hell with her
I know what you mean. I've been with my gf a while and had the best time and now it's over (some lil reason) and now shes acting like it was nothing. Women are colder than men on the inside they just put on a face of emotional beings. The last bit of your paragraph sums up what my ex went from and became.
"the couples that are truly right for each goes through the same crap as everybody else but the big difference is that they wont let it take them down"
I've always believed that when you ask a couple if they are having problems and they say no, it indicates 3 things: 1. They are in denial. 2. One is covering for the other. 3. They aren't right for each other.
This is the main reason i love scrubs no matter what they have an episode that helps me understand life. Yea big woop its kinda like a chick flick but if it doesnt touch you in some way, your not human.

Its moments like these that make me call out this show for being what everyone knows it is despite how well they try to distract from it. The fact that this show is a chick flick in TV format. lol Don't get me wrong though it is undoubtedly funny and entertaining despite this.
Wow. Could you be more a stereotypical trying-to-sound-macho guy? I'm a guy, and I respect these parts of the show the most. They talk about how relationships really are. It's an honest show. Any guy who says he doesn't really care about the relationships he's in is either a loner or just putting up a front.
I was fair in my statement. I could psycho analyze you too but frankly I could think of better ways to spend a minute. Why don't you pull your head out of Zak Braff's hind end long enough to realize that people who do not like this show are not all simply mentally deranged.
Not really man, branding something as a "chick flick" because it talks about relationships (which generally involve both males and females in case you did not notice) is just illogical.
Plus when did I say mentally deranged? Nice use of the straw man fallacy there, buddy.
Also, it's Zach Braff, and he's not even my favourite part of this show. Zach Braff didn't write the show. You're retarded.
Firstly, I don't recall claiming Zack Braff wrote the show.Nor do I assume or care what your favorite part of the show is.
Secondly, I actually said the show was funny, and entertaining anyways despite the fact that I think it is for chicks. Don't like my chick flick comment to top it off? Too bad. : P
@LittleDrB: A cynic is a person who believes that people are motivated purely by self-interest (and it can also refer to a branch of Greek philosophers). You can check "cynicism" on Wikipedia.

Wow, that close up at the end is WAY too close. Cool clip, but seriously, what she's saying isn't profound enough or amazing or emotional enough to warrant that close a shot.
it gets better as the show went on. the close up i think was leading into a good part of the movie where she says she's not in a relationship. but i do get what you mean. it is a little premature
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
i love scrubs, but this "screen character"'s opinion on relationships is just part of the show and also complete bollocks. No relationship can be right if they have to go through loads of crap. No good relationship has to be fought for. It should be easy and natural otherwise what's the point?
Even couples of 50yrs av disagreements sometimes.. Its neva 'easy & natural'. There's a lot of readjustments made as couples go on, except u r dating ur clone. People are different thus we love differently...
Every good relationship [inlcuding non romantic ones have 2 be fought 4 atimes] U dont stop loving ur family cos they upset u, u we did then d world wud be a lonely place, Perhaps ur world may just be
I'm 27, I'm definitely happier being single anyway but that's not the point. If you felt crappy all the time in a relationship then it's just not meant to be. If you really loved that person they would make you feel bad constantly and vice versa. If you really believe otherwise then it's you that has a lot to learn.
your an idiot, there will never be a relationship where you dont have at least one fight. if you really love that person you fight for it, you dont give in. when you fight for the relationship thats how your partner knows that you want them, you need them, and you arent going to let them go over 1 stupid thing.
well maybe I wasn't clear enough on what I meant. I wasn't talking about ONE fight and a stupid thing. I meant if it was so crappy that you felt bad for ages. I'm amazed that people can get into these sort of relationships and actually want to stay in them. The only reason my "idiotic" self posted that message was I was just surprised at all of these people commenting actually taking something off a comedy show so seriously and literally.
you have to fight for the person you love, sometimes not fighting for the person is the reason it ends- the actual issue of fighting with the person you love may not be that what they are fighting over is a real issue, it may be they just need to rid themselves of some stress, and if you can make it through that, then you know the relationship can go somewhere.
Maybe it's taken so seriously because aside beeing a comedy show, Scrubs has shown over the seasons that it also has alot of serious moments that everyone should think about...
ti's not just beeing funny...it's also making stands and making people think...
relationships that are right for each other, are REALLY like Dr.Cox said: they go through the same crap as everybody else, but they fight the adversities together and make things right...
im 20 yrs old and never had a relationship (unfortunately), but i do know, that good things are never easy to get...you gotta work for them and diserve 'em...
I don't remember the Turk/Carla part. I don't think that they play it on TV. =/
Anyways, wow. Best Dr. Cox speech EVER. Period. It's so true. Relationships do NOT work like they do in TV and movies. I kinda wish that they did, though. =S
Oh, and by the by: Scrubs = Best show EVER. =] (In my opinion, anyways)
They actually do play it on tv..Bill Lawrence has said that the actors put so much work into this episode that he would not cut any seen...not even to be shown on TV
That's a big reason why Dr. Cox is my favorite character on scrubs, because he's tough and strict, but on the inside he really cares for the people around him *sniffles*
You know what...I know a lot of bleeding hearts who would take offense at the berating and putdowns by Dr. Cox. Luckily, I'm not one of them. I WISH for more jackass mentors like him because he really and truly gives a crap. It really does matter to him to save lives. Even when nothing ever goes right, all it takes is one patient to make it all worthwhile.
If you're referring to the brief moment you see JD's face at the end, it's nothing. There's two more clips, one of JD and one of Elliot. In them, they both just say "Am I in a relationship?...no."
yea and second off maybe this person just thought it was a cool name...dioesn't matter what u have as ur name as long as it's not offensive...so just leave it alone
I'm doing a monologue in Acting Class, i chose; Dr. Cox's speech about relationships..let me just say "Too fast man!" but I love it at the same time O_O
I think the most powerful part of Dr. Cox's little opinion, is " Couples that are truly right for each other go through the same crap as everyone else. The difference is, they don't let it take them down. "
I love the quote by Dr Cox aswell how can you not, i like the bit where he said that relationships dont work they way they do on television and in the movies as it is so true aswell :)
Truly profound. I love this video. I love what it stands for. Hell, I love it's description of love and the reality of it. I think it's great. Dr. Cox (well the writers for him and the man playing him) opens the revelation of what a true relationship is. I wish more people could hear it.
