  • damit i forgot what i wanted to say..........

  • Pitching is a side ways body movement to front foot touch down but one must just prior to front foot touch down turn/open the front foot either pointing the toe down the line or at a slight angle for balance so as not to block hip rotation & forcing one to throw over the hip, I have a beautiful picture of Steve Carlton, Matt Morris, Tim Lincecum & a young pitcher in the Cardinals org. who all display how the proper side way's body and foot movement should be executed.

  • I would like to add, pitching is a side ways body movement to front foot touch down with a stride length of at least matching one's body height no body rotation prior to front foot touch down at which time only the hips rotate shoulders simultaneously following/rotating creating hip/shoulder separation which in turn brings the arm through into it's forward trajectory on to release point of ball. hip/shoulder separation must be executed in proper sequence at proper time

  • Each Pitcher lands with their Front Foot closed to their target.

Their closed Front Foot landing blocks their Hips from a full rotation and they fail to fully transfer all the Lower Body energy into their Throwing Hand.

From my experience, when a Pitcher maintains an athletically "stacked" position while balance on one leg, their Hip rotation will fully transfer all their energy into their Throwing Hand and everything you stated becomes a reality.

  • It would be interesting to see a show that discusses how much opposing muscle tension affects the physics to slow down the pitch.

  • major leauge pitchers get clocked out of the hand.. which is where we should get clocked so its universal

  • they get clocked at 50 feet

  • @mrosen369.. no.. when the mph flashes across the top of your tv screen, the pitchers are getting clocked at release point... not 50 feet

  • @zzhate Yeah and even then, who knows how accurate it is. Lots of clubs have been accused of inflating their pitcher's numbers and deflating opposing pitchers.

  • they all have bad mechanics

  • @bigswanger281 you don't know shit about mechanics. Arm action is only slight when it comes to mechanics. This guy has fine mechanics, infact good. He keeps his head over his chest and leads with his ass.

  • @bigswanger281 they probably have better mechanics than u

  • ok guys im going to clear this one up for you, there are two types of radar guns, ones that measure the speed of that pitch when it gets to home plate, and ones that measure the speed out of the pitchers hand. if you have one that measures out of the hand, u need to subtract 7-8mph to get a true velocity

  • @redsjack3 No you're retarded.

  • only problem when they say a pitcher who is clocked throwing 100mph they are really releasing it at 108mph, but when radar guns clock pitchers they give you the speed right out of the hand

  • wow you can copy what the video said lol

  • no it said that when a pitcher is clocked at 100 mph it is really coming out of there hand at 108, but a radar gun reads the speed right out of the hand, if a radar gun reads 100 it is coming 100 out of your hand, and will slow down to about 92-93 when it comes to the plate

  • @baseball14328 that's what they said in the video...
