Thanks for posting this! I attended this recording at LA Trade Tech and remember gettin my "Go Head" on when they did this song. It was in like February of 1982, if my memory serves me correct (I was 17 then, and I'm 46 now! No Shame Amen!). Special guests to this concert were the late Rev James Cleveland & the So Cal Community Choir and the So Cal debute of The 4th of May, remember them?!!! Needless to say it was a HOT concert!
I used to love we the choir rocked in to "Oh we sing glory" and also when they would sing I want to walk& talk with Jesus each and every day my moms favorite from them as well!!!
Hey, I remember this choir. Before West Angeles and City of Refuge in So Cal, this is one of the top choirs in Southern Calfornia. And yes, I remember this because the church I used to go to, Greater New Unity with the late H.P. Rachal fellowshipped with them..
Yes i was at this recording My mother sung the song called I'll Go
this is my Church and My favorite Choir of all times Im James Jackson & Atlanta Praise this is why I do what I do That Robert Henry listen to him scream at us love it love it i believe I was ten
I was at this concert! The Voices of Watts was the best church choir around. They were the choir of the Tree of Life BC in Watts, (late) Billy J. Ray, pastor. Good choir. Their director, Rev. Robert Henry, passed a couple of years ago. Good Choir.
I See You Finally Check out this version.. What do you think? Do you like this one or The Hempstead Version better? Holla when you can. I also like the songs, "He Opened Mine Eyes (I played that one on our Gospel Radio Show), Never Defeated, I'll Go, and Get On Up.
