is it legal to text and drive if my eyes never leave the road? (im not blind, but curious....) i have a phone like him where u gotta hit the keys so many times for one letter (chart=222#44#2#777#8) so i memorized the keys and the number of keystrokes for each letter. so is it legal for me to text and drive if my eyes never leave the road?
@dobba1890 I don't know about every state in the Union....but it's not legal in Massachusetts. If a cop catches you texting and driving, you get a ticket no matter what the circumstances are; looking at it or not.

@702sincitybabe My computer CAN talk to me. Everyone's can. Both Mac & PC have a NARRATOR function. As for the keyboard...I learned in 8th grade typing class to type without looking at it. It's a handy skill...since I can't see it anyway.
@penthousej i didnt know that the computers have a narrator thats cool... and i think thats pretty awesome you can type without looking... i have been trying since 6th grade and im in the 11th now..im just barley starting to type without looking.
@702sincitybabe it is EXTREMELY useful to be able to type without looking. Legally blind or not...so keep at it. And depending on what computer you have, Narrator should be an option on your standard system. On Windows, click start, Programs, Accessories, Ease of Use and then NARRATOR. The voice takes some getting used to....but it does the job.

the question was not "how can you read texts" it was "how can you respond to our posts". The answer "by using LARGE print fonts" means just that. I blow up the font. In your broswer, fold down the SHIFT key and scroll the intelawheel up. It makes everything on the page HUGE Huge enough that even i can read it. You can make everything go up to about 100 pt. font. Thus, even a LEGALLY blind dude like me can read it.

the question was not "how can you read texts" it was "how can you respond to our posts". The answer "by using LARGE print fonts" means just that. I blow up the font. In your broswer, fold down the SHIFT key and scroll the intelawheel up. It makes everything on the page HUGE Huge enough that even i can read it. You can make everything go up to about 100 pt. font. Thus, even a LEGALLY blind dude like me can read it.
