I hate the celtics, but the lakers pissed the series away in game 4. Game 2 was one of the worst officiated games along with the 02 kings series but, Lakers could've at least had a game 7 if not for that meltdown.

That's how its called in the NBA Finals. Refs swallow their whistles and all ticky tack fouls and some blatant fouls aren't called. Lakers could have upped their defensive intensity to take advantage. But no, they're not a physical defensive team.

And as far as Jordan, Jordan's teams were the one's playing this physical style of defense in the Finals. That's why they won. Most of the tough defensive teams Jordan went through were during the Eastern playoffs. Jordan crushed them, Kobe couldn't
