I dozed of on a bike once....I had riden for about seven hours in bad weather...when the sun finally came out, it became very humid...and I drifted off - only for a second or two...but it certainly woke me up......I pull off the highway and had a nap under tree......it never happened again..never ride when you are tired....
Most people here are terrible drivers. No joke! You're guaranteed to have at least one person blow a red light @ every intersection. Speeding, no use of turn signals, excessive tailgating....
Although the blame for this accident is mine, I can't help wondering how fast they were driving. Look at the length of the skid marks...
Another point of interest: The two people in the car decided that they were injured a few days after the accident...
Funny you mention that. He was a 19 year old kid who was driving on a suspended license.
The police report said that witnesses claimed that I'd been riding down the wrong side of the road for a while, and everyone up to that point managed to notice and react appropriately.
Regardless, it wasn't his fault that I was on the wrong side of the road.
He did lawyer up pretty quickly, though. Nothing came of it, fortunately...

Nah, it really doesn't bug me. I'm actually already taking inventory and figuring cost for replacement parts. I'll be back on the bike in the spring!
