  • how the fuck did i manage to guess this is cassavettes within 30 seconds having never even seen one of his films...

  • God I love this movie.

  • Lynn Carlin is utterly fantastic in this film! It's a shame her career didn't pan out, but if Ruth Gordon's tremendous "Rosemary's Baby" performance wasn't up against hers, Carlin shoulda won the Oscar =).

Seymour Cassel was also fantastic. Their exchanges were the highlights of what I consider to be John Cassavetes's finest film. I just also like to make sure Carlin received her due credit. Did not know about that secretary fact though--awesome <3.

  • This makes a lot of sense.

  • I can't watch this without tearing up.

  • she did a really amazing job, and she was just a secretary at the film studio that they picked last minute

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS??? a secretary? Wow...I have always heard about this movie of Cassavetes but I've never seen it. I have been meaning to watch it. I love A Woman Under the Influence...I saw that years ago.

  • Great monologue, one of my favorite films!

  • Die kunst ist tot !
