I really hate that term...camper. It doesn't apply to a sinper.

If it was used against an infantryman, yes. An infantrymans duty is to take ground, and sometimes hold it.

Yet..machinegunners, and snipers are supposed to camp. There weapons aern't really meant for advancing on the battle. They are best used as support, and defense.

People who use the term "camper" as an insult to sniper or machinegunners lack combat expierence. And are just plain idiots who wouldn't last in a REAL war.

As a matter of fact I already have TWICE. I served did two tours in Iraq. Just got out in Jan. 29, 07. I served in Charlie Company, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade, 2 Infantry Division. I was a Grenadier, carried the M4 with attachable M203 Grenade Launcher. So I know what I'm talking about!

but, this is a game not real life, so camping snipers are known as 'noobs' D:

in real life, i'd camp like hell with the sniper, i'd be scared to move at all, but in a game being an aggressive sniper is the best way to play.

The most important role of the sniper is to deny the enemy territory by sniping in a position where they are not at the front of battle but have view of the battlefront and can support the soldiers who are at the front by taking out enemies. A sniper that camps in his hideyhole regardless of what his teammates are doing is useless. Similarly a sniper right on the front of battle is useless (unless of course he is really skilled and can take on riflemen and assault types in CQC)
