That's interesting. I like the song. For some reason, it sounds familiar--as if I heard this or a similar song many years ago.
Has anyone else recorded it? It sounds like Bandy, Strait or Garth should have jumped on it.

This is very evocative of that era of rodeo--before it was covered nationally on cable TV.
It also shows that Mel can sound pretty good when he's not playing some oily, lecherous degenerate.
