@JacktheDragon16 That really sucks...if it's making a ticking noise the only think I can think of is it's the laser trying to reposition itself but it's getting stuck or the gears are slipping. My only suggestion is to open it up and see if there is something the matter with the laser mechanism that moves it back and forth. Other than that you might have to buy a new Saturn or live with an emulator on your computer.
Hahaha...yeah the tornadoes seem really difficult to break through in the PS2 version when you have no dash. On the Saturn version you can usually get through them.
I never ayed the original, so I want them to bring this to america. I dont want the saturn version because it has bad graphica. THE NIGHTOPIANS ARE 2D IN THE SATURN VERSION.
i REALLY want this game. but it would cost loads to get my ps2 modded to play out of reigon games and to get the game itself. the other problem is that my mum says i have too many consoles so getting a saturn and the original is out of the question for now. maybe i could get a saturn and nights with christmas money

You can usually find a Saturn with NiGHTS for pretty cheap on eBay...that's where I got mine.
