You should try smashing things with a sledgehammer instead of an ax or a pick. Think about the physics of it: pressure= force / area. By using an ax or other wedge-shaped object, you're going to get your tool stuck in the plastic objects you're smashing. However, a sledgehammer will administer a greater force to a wider area of the object. Not only will this reduce the number of times your tool gets stuck, it will also produce a more dramatic effect for the viewers watching your videos.
