But ultimately, it depends if you're willing to accept the consequences. If he's your BEST friend, and you're afraid of losing him, then think carefully before saying anything. Ask around with your other friends who know how you really feel about him. Cause once you tell him, and if he doesn't feel the same way, it WILL get weird. But I can also tell you that keeping it in, if you think you can't do it can get difficult.

But I knew he didn't like me that way. And I only told him so that I could hear it from him and move with my life, emotionally. Sadly, we're not friends anymore. But I am glad I got it off my chest. @aleashasharman I've been in a similar situation for 2 and a half years. Its hard to see him go after pretty much everyone but you, but then you see him happy, so it makes it worth it. Hopefully in your case he'll realize how stupid he's being before 2 or more years pass. In my case he's starting to realize that now.
@TheDobbydobson I did, and at first I was SHIT SCARED... but if you don't necessarily think he or she feels the same way, its not worth it. Others will tell you not to keep it in. But I tried that, telling him, and at first he was gracious about it, up front about the fact that he doesn't feel the same way. But after a while, things got weird and even though he said nothing was wrong, we don't talk anymore.
@InuyashaFreak It's been over 2 years since I told him. And in the last year, we've only talked about a dozen times, for about 5 minutes. Not exactly what I'd call close.
I still believe honesty is the best policy, and yes they may feel the same way. But my only advice is, make sure they might feel the same way. Otherwise, losing your best friend, isn't totally worth getting your feelings off your chest .Just my opinion. Hope it helps at least a little. <3

But ultimately, it depends if you're willing to accept the consequences. If he's your BEST friend, and you're afraid of losing him, then think carefully before saying anything. Ask around with your other friends who know how you really feel about him. Cause once you tell him, and if he doesn't feel the same way, it WILL get weird. But I can also tell you that keeping it in, if you think you can't do it can get difficult.

But I knew he didn't like me that way. And I only told him so that I could hear it from him and move with my life, emotionally. Sadly, we're not friends anymore. But I am glad I got it off my chest. The only downside, of course, is that he got a little too weirded out and stopped talking to me.

@Demigod784 i kno how u feel. im in that same situation rite now. i mean of course im happy for my friend, but the way he goes thru girlfriends im afraid if he and i ever got together that id just be another girl he dates and drops. hes not a jerk about it or anything but hes just confused and doesnt kno who to date. i LOVE him soo much and i cnt stop thinking about him. he admitted he likes me too but we havnt talked about our feelings for eachother in a long time. love sucks sometimes...

Allow me too vent, Appologies. I avoided having a best friend for my entire life due to reasons unexplained. I got so close to mine, so close when i was away from them for a minute, i would feel lost and confused. Now they''ve vanished, it fucking sucks. I've lost parents, friends, have mental health problems...Put it this way, losing my best friend was worse than all of that combined. I lived for them. Its been a week now, and I'm losing the knowledge of who I am. :\

@09webchick ceral/serious. Anyway, and its like impossible to have a serious convo with him about anything. I have not been aloud to go to his house in a year since I use to go to his house and my parents wouldnt know.They found out and I got in trouble. My dad says maybe during the summer/spring I can start going over there again. I've known my best friend Clint since kindergarten and we have never parted... it's been ten years and I've fallen for him. It's weird when you think you would never love someone as anything more than a friend, but I've fallen in love with him. I've barely talked to him in the last week, because I'm scared. I didn't beleive in love at first sight b4 but it happened to me :) I wish I could tell him but I'm just scared that it'll backfire and destroy our friendship... So when I see him I just hurt inside for a few days... Or weeks... Keeping it in for a whole year is really very hard... I talk to him about how I have this huuuuugggeee crush and whatnot but when he asks me who I tell him a fake name... I can't do it... Atleast not this year while we're at different schools anyways... Maybe next year.

@aleashasharman I've been in a similar situation for 2 and a half years. Its hard to see him go after pretty much everyone but you, but then you see him happy, so it makes it worth it. Hopefully in your case he'll realize how stupid he's being before 2 or more years pass. In my case he's starting to realize that now.

@TheDobbydobson I did, and at first I was SHIT SCARED... but if you don't necessarily think he or she feels the same way, its not worth it. Others will tell you not to keep it in. But I tried that, telling him, and at first he was gracious about it, up front about the fact that he doesn't feel the same way. But after a while, things got weird and even though he said nothing was wrong, we don't talk anymore.

@InuyashaFreak It's been over 2 years since I told him. And in the last year, we've only talked about a dozen times, for about 5 minutes. Not exactly what I'd call close.
I still believe honesty is the best policy, and yes they may feel the same way. But my only advice is, make sure they might feel the same way. Otherwise, losing your best friend, isn't totally worth getting your feelings off your chest .Just my opinion. Hope it helps at least a little. <3

@pigghostman Don't. =) I used to feel the EXACT SAME WAY. But if the right girl for you hasn't come yet, it's because it's not the time. I know it's a lot easier said than done to wait and wait, but it will come when you least expect it. =) Just know it's not you, it's just the wrong time. =)

@pri34u and then once when i heard that he has been goign out with this girl (shes very pretty too) ....i realized then that i may have had feelings for him all along.....now we've become closer and that makes it all the worse cus i just cnt seem to get rid of this feeling. he also gives me mixed signals - like theres quite a bit of skinship between us lol but he also says im like a sister to him - which is very confusing-eventhough i knw love is never gonna happen between us
