I need to smell the air and touch the soil my ancestors hailed from, I feel it in my blood like a tidal force. Why is that tug so strong? I have kin that died at Culloden and again in the American Revolution and again at Gettysburg. Druim-an-deur. I myself am alive after tours down-range in the Korengal valley and Iraq, by God's grace, not that my enemy didn't try. Many of my brothers did not make it. What a long line of sorrow and bravery, it's too much to comprehend. Anyway, beautiful music.

WOW.....Until I heard this song I had no idea the Royal Scots Dragoon Guard played so amazingly beautiful......this song brings tears to me eyes and chills to me bones......though I am 7th-generation American, this music and your accompanying video makes me proud of my Scotland heritage......Now I must hear all the rest of Royal Scots music......P.S. I think there are lots of Scots Native Americans and Canadians. One example is singer Rita Coolidge (perhaps not so well known among the younger generation) who is a mixture of Cherokee and Scots. The Hudson Bay company in Canada was run by Scots - with many from Orkney and Shetland - and many of them married local lassies. We certainly have a lot in common.

All I can say is amazing. I have had a love of the bagpipes since I was 4 years old. My hubby brought this one up for me one morning to wake up to. What a beautiful way to start my day.
