Textbook from college of expressionism "Language of meetings", few hints, try to be "expressive", for instance exaggerate things by doubling adjectives like "Really Really" or "Very Very". That Guy here got A in this subject.
My review. This camera is piece of shit unless you are around "really really" bright places or use flash rather close to your target, if not having these 2 things, your shot will looks like piece of shit. Btw, video camera is rather good, but I still recommend to look at something else.
i have a question about the fisheye view...i bought a powershot ps 150 camera and my effect is the miniature effect...is there any way to change it to the fisheye effect or am i just stuck with that?
I love this camera. The only issue I have is with recording in sunlit scenes. I get "vertical laser beams" down the whole screen. Anyone know a solution for this? I do a lot of outdoor videos. I did buy some rechargeable batteries that greatly improved the life. Do not use regular batteries. It will eat them. I use Duracell rechargeable 2000maH NimH

I have this camera for 2 weeks and the good news is that the battery life on rechargeables is not so bad - I am actually glad to have the AA batteries now because I can always have some handy. I am not finding that the video quality is that great but I might try something again today. I hope I can get it to perform as well as some of the test videos I have seen.
I have this camera for more then a half year already and I am very satisfied with it! The image quality is good, camera shooting options are useful and erganomics are convinient. I also use HD video mode very often and I like it. Of course it has some limitations, but afterall it is a small and friendly-price compact camera. About batteries, don't worry about AA battery life - just buy couple of rechargeable NI-MH battery sets and you will do just fine!
u know whats the best about the AA batteries? its when u go somewhere and u know there is no chance to recharge ur camera so with this u can just take some more AA batteries with you and they are so cheap. I just bought this camera today and guess what I bought it just cause it works with the AA batteries. I also bought 4 rechargeable batteries and 20 normal ones.
ok, good review but from the moment you said 12 ex instead of 12 times zoom, your credibility was questionable.... wouldn't a camera pro know what it was?
@m1y2sti3cal Optical zoom is where you are actually using the zoom on the lens, but digital zoom is where you crop the picture and blow it up. The results = Optical Zoom good, Digital zoom sucks ass

I just bought this camera today, and I'm taking it back. The quality of the LCD screen is horrible. I was taking some video and it will not record sound. I tried everything to fix it with no success. The camera constantly makes noise from the lense. When I take photos, the quality is OK, but about 50% of the time it has a lot of lag time between shots. I watched another review for the Nikon Coolpix L110 and most say it is better. I'm gonna try that one next and give my opinion.
Blurry images, poor low light pictures and video, (I take a lot of low-light video, so it was a bit more important) just wasn't worth the $230 I paid. Still looking for something.
@googleguy08 OK. Thanks for the 411. I am still looking for one myself. If you find a good one before I do, will you please let me know. I would really appreciate it. Happy hunting.
@googleguy08 For low light video, try something like a Picsio or flip. I'd say the JVC GC-FM2BUS might be worth looking at, but I don't use that sort of thing. For the high-light shooting I do, I'm happy with my SX130IS. The low-light is nothing to smile about, but in manual mode, if you know a thing or two about shutter, aperture, and ISO, it can work wonders shooting pictures in moderate to bright light.
@89rafa I really cant tell you that. I use a Nikon DSLR D3000 for pictures and I use the SX130 for Videos and as a backup for pictures if needed. However, what i can tell you when recording videos I can get by without changing the batteries in about 30mins. They say re-chargeables last, but they dont. Infact, they die quicker. Its a very good camera, the only minus is the battery life.
I have a question. I just got this camera and I hear a mechanical "click" coming from the lens every time I take a shot or when I half-press the shutter button to focus.
Is this normal? I'm not refering to the menu sounds, I mean a mechanical "click", like something opening and closing, is coming from the lens shutter, but I dont know if this is alright, since I had a old Sony camera and never heard somethin like that.
@Chlero I have the previous version, SX120, but I assume the clicking source is the same - the optical Image Stabilization, which involves lens shifting - in other words, the lens moves in order to compensate for your moving the camera. If you select "Continuous IS" in the menu, you will hear this continuous adjustment whenever you move the camera. I selected "Shoot only" for IS, so the image stabilization only activates when I shoot.
How about battery life? The only other review i can find in youtube about this camera says that battery life suck. I want to buy this cam so I hope you can help me. Thanks in advance.

I'm a huge canon fan. I almost ran to the store to pick up two of them.
Changed my mind once that I noticed no eyepiece. You have to solely use the screen. I never use the screen for shooting pictures.
I only use the screen to review pictures.
I really did want this camera! My hopes were shot down!

Using flash for photo kills the battery.
so if you want save battery life try avoid using flash, like outdoor photography.
in addition, i recommend to buy good standard battery like Duracell.
