  • I saw these guys 10 years ago.... changed their style up huh? haha

  • seen these guys three times, the first time was my first concert ever, must say, best fucking band live, they are amazing to see.

  • Seeing them tonight...so stoked

  • Yes, we will survive, but not without this music. No scene. Just full of love for our lives. Awesome doesn't describe. What without?

  • Just pretend I posted some of the lyrics to this song, and you'll like my comment, because this song is awesome.

  • i told my friend i was gonna get really high and learn the words to this song.... my brain has pretty much been blown with awesomeness

  • <3 :D

  • pure love vibes.

  • @Stormride008 amen dude!

  • Im deffinently considering this 4th wave, because this is exactly the way ska needs to go now. Punk rose up when everything was cookie cutter. Ska went with it, since skinheads and rude boys where always against being looked down upon for being different. Now, they arent. They won, so why not relax with this kind of music again?

  • @DoityDeagle I always found Streetlight Manifesto to be the way I would envision 4th wave ska. Not ska punk, not two tone, not trad, but a combination of so many musical genres. They redefine the sound expected from ska with their insane depth and creativity behind their music. But alas I wouldn't mind this being the next step either. Though The Damned, Dumb, and Delirious seems to be ska/punk again.

  • @antiflag1 I agree about Streetlight Manifesto being fourth wave, but I also heard them being described as more of a "hardcore jazz" band and I think that description is also sort of apt. I think ska could branch off in two different ways and it would be awesome, though.

  • @antiflag1 Tomas Kalnoky, the lead singer/guitar player in Streetlight, describes Streetlight Manifesto as a "Thrash Ska" band. Which fits perfectly.

  • This song is the best!!

  • 1 person can go fuck himself.

  • @88Sublime96

1 person could not describe the sky.

  • this is much different than there old stuff. i think this a good song, but overall i prefer their older material

  • fuckin love this song

  • :D Seeing them live for the second time in like, T-minus ONE HOURRRR.

Oh man. ohmanohmanohman. This song just makes my heart want to explode.

  • RBF is boring and unoriginal i mean there awesome and all but there sound bores me over time BigD is just...WOW there sound is just so soothing and chill it cheers me up every time i hear it. I Love their new amazing sound! :)

  • @LxNightmare RBF sucks balls. Even their covers. I just saw them 2 or 3 days ago with Goldfinger. VGS and Big D is where it's at :)

  • @flanequalsgarbage i disagree dude, RBF are one of the greatest bands around...

  • @TheFailingSkater real big fish is the brittney spears of ska bro

  • @MiLLZtheMAN21 Hell, I love Reel Big Fish!

  • @MiLLZtheMAN21 noo because theyre amazing performers and they write their songs

  • The bit with the reverb on the guitar sucks. But the rest of the songs is beautiful!

  • @HeavenFrown I disagree. I like that part. It reminds me of The Police.

  • This song is magical.

  • Go and get a streetlight manifesto song stuck in your head....

  • big d's best album was strictly rude, their old stuff was better

  • there new stuff good but not as good as there old stuff like LA.X

  • Big D is waayyyy better than RBF

  • nah i think reel big fish is slightly better but reel big fish is still fucking amazing :D

  • i mean big d is still fucking amazing haha

  • 2 very different styles really both ska punk but both have strayed away into different styles so comparing is retarded.

  • I'm not a fan of the new stuff I have to say. It's not bad, but it just doesn't have the same energy from what I've heard.

Still gotta love Big D though :D

  • goood gooood shit lol

  • it's ska

  • Seen these guys lastnight. I'd been waiting to see RBF for years, but I can honestly say i fell in love with Big D lastnight!

  • RBF are gonna be on warped this year

  • OH YEAH!!! ANd so are the BOUNCING SOULS!!

  • Comment removed

  • imo the only good song in Fluent In Stroll.

The rest of the album just sucks.

    But, it's just my opinion

  • this song keeps me moving lol

    love this band =)

  • This here was the song I listened to right before I went to Basic Training. Good stuff, I say.

  • i love this song i always feel so happy listening to it :]

  • this song is helluh radd, it always like upps my mood.

    hahaha,

always gonna be a big d fan

  • I miss their old stuff, much faster and better I think.

  • How it Goes is my favorite album, Fluent IN Stroll is a close second

  • lovee it

  • i agree witwh all these comments, its innovative for sure and sitll has the big d punch

  • Bah, I like both the "old stuff" and "new stuff". (Though the older stuff IS just a little bit better, imo.)

And as;dlfkjsl;dkfjskj, that there is some HOT album art. I love it.

  • Im just glad they kept the reggae/ska guitar.

  • I think that sound is called the "skank", someone correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @sirmarksalot The sound/music is called ska. You skank to ska music, which is a dance. Skanking is incredibly fun if you have never done it.

  • So what is that sound called then? On "off-beat"?

  • Syncopation?

  • Its called a syncopated rhythm, the best part about ska :)

  • its called stroll

  • Ska?

  • so good. i love big d's old stuff.

    but, i have to say,

    this is my favorite.

    hands down.

  • One of the best Big D songs ever. I like the old stuff like can't be caught but I respect that Big D is doing stuff no other ska band is doing, this is pretty chill and creative music

  • This was my favorite song they played at Warped Tour '09.

  • one of my favorite songs

  • Piss off.

  • It kinda seems more tradtional, less punk influenced. Iunno kinda bizarre I'll agree

  • this is such a chill summer song, love it

  • Definitely in the top 3 Big D songs!!

  • best song on the album

  • I haven't heard such good horn players since The Bosstones!

  • big d is the shit!!

  • The horns and guitar riffs definitely make this...what a catchy fucking song.

  • I think I've listend to this song everyday for the last 2 months. :D

  • I really hope this album grows on me cause now every time I see them live they're gonna play lots of these tunes...

  • they only played 2 songs off this album at warped tou

  • Were you even at Warped Tour? Not very metal of you...

  • i dont know who wrote that it was probably durkin

  • nah they usually play a lot of old stuff, i think they'll respect that most of their fans want energetic live music

  • yeah...the website has all this bright new album artwork on.

I liked the Strictly Rude style, it was darker but really great ska, not "stroll" or whatever this is

  • does anyone have a link to the lyrics for this song? i cant find it anywhere

  • either can i :(

  • just bought the cd,

two kids excited when they hit the pavement

you know the sight of us, the two most complacent

Oh my God is this the world? How will we keep

ourselves young? How will we keep our souls pure?

We'll have to step back, be steady, And check out

the new scenery, Deduct what we are seeing

    And trust each other's opinion

  • Gotta push back the people, Who try and sour reality

There's so many bitter, We'll have to be believers

    Stand tall

We both look them in the eye

We're trying not to laugh just yet

I think we'll both do fine

Now we're laying after a perfect day

    As we fade away

    What a world we'll make

  • Well I'm forever your fighting partner, Yeah I can

hold you above them for days, You see, my arms are

strong and I'm focused, We're in store for better

days, Oh no I don't need to see, Just tell me what it

    looks like above the clouds

Describe the sky to me, just

    Describe the sky to me

  • While we're Laying after a perfect day As we fade away What a world we've made I told her 'Relax, There's no need to be shy Go ahead and laugh too loud My friends think you're divine Feel safe and alive Come look at the sky Tonight you look so nice' Tonight we'll be..
  • We both stand tall

We always look them in the eye

We're always laughing out too loud

Us two are doing quite fine

    Two kids shaping their lives

    Yes we will survive

    Yes we will survive

  • @trixr4mee I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO DESCRIBE HOW SOFT AND FUCKING FLUFFY THIS SONG MAKES ME FEEL INSIDE... IT ALMOST HURTS IT FEELS SO GOOD.

  • @baileynewell lol btw you're awesome!

  • this song is defining my summer for sure, i wish the world knew about this song

  • NO! I wish the world knew about "Those Kids Suck"

  • hahah that too

  • What are the lyrics?

Is it "Laying after a perfect day?"

  • i was a bit skeptical at first but fluent in stroll is a great cd imo. i like the new sound

  • Love this band and cd! they've always been great and will remain that way for a long time!

  • wow i didnt know people still listen to these guys awesome

  • keep an open mind, coffeebandits... it is different, but honestly, sticking with the same sound gets tiring. i, personally, really dig it... and doped up dollies and chin up boy sound really good as well. looking forward to hearing the rest of the album, and im sure im going to be able to sit down and enjoy it. it may not be the same old ska/punk big d, but wake up: there's a lot more to music than punk folks.

  • The rest of the album is amazing... wait until you hear the title track "Fluent In Stroll"

  • I have, it sucks...a lot. Fluent In Stroll and Doped Up Dollies make me sick. The whole "boom goes the dynamite" thing makes me cringe.

  • Isn't that whole point . Those songs are a piss-take of that genre.

  • yeah i totally agree this is def the best of the three i actually like it alot

but if you listen to all of them a couple times there not too bad like chin up boy is really happy and doped up dollies is fun =p

  • um couple others mate lol but i know what you mean

I kinda like their CD with Drexel, the band our lovely singer was drumming for.

  • i never heard drexel ill check them out but yeah the whole fluent in stroll cd isnt that gret but i do like some of the songs like i saw them live yesterday and today and they were real good but yeah its nothin compared to strictly rude or how it goes

  • It's actually not bad after you listen to it a couple times.

It's the least different next to Chin Up, Boy and Doped Up Dollies.

    I love this one.
