i have a mayones guitar not the one you mentioned. But Iám really sure it will be able to create metalcore. It's able to be heavy as hell but also as smooth as a bubble. Really i play like everything with it I started out with death metal technical like stuff. Now at the moment I more enjoy the classic rock/pop and hiphop styles of guitar playing. Also of course not to forget classical and funk.

Did I already metion it is a versitale guitar?

Ben, how's the neck on the Setius GTM 7-string compared to Schecter 7-string guitars? Thanx!

I have Setius GTM 7 and I had in my hands also Schecters 7 string. ;) Loomis model and hellraiser. Thickness is very simile, but Schecters have wider necks. IMHO Mayo is better, although I do really think that Loomis is comfortable to play also. But it has 'bigger' neck and it's baritone, so you shouldn't expect nothing else. ;) Nevertheless Mayo GTM7 and Schecter Loomis Signature - both gr8 guitars. ;)
