I'm not really sure what the song means, I couldn't possibly because I didn't write it. But, I used to suffer from an eating disorder and this song really hit me. So that's a possibility, but I doubt it.

In my opinion this song is about how she grew up and she takes what life has "fed" her and she has matured in that way from it. She is also telling us although life's clever and maybe overwhelming "meals" may be hard we have to let go and free ourselves.

you kinda have to eat to grow up and be a strong human being. and you can 'create' yourself to what you want to be, your own ideals [they sing that too], free your mind, your free to fly > free to choose what you want to do.

That's a good idea. I actually interpretated like she was trying to express herself but without nobody listening (something that happens to me all the time). But what she probably was trying to express was their feelings to other girl in a totally planned meal. Of course this is just my interpretation.

Ha. Yeah, when I first started listening to them so did I.

After a while you can see who's who just because you see the differences.

But Tegan is the one with the more softer face, lip piercing, and lazy eye. sort of ( it isnt really a lazy eye, it's just how I'm describing it.)

And Sara has a bigger jaw.
