@Schwenneyboy nice selection and arrangement of samples! The drumloop is a bit too loud and "static". try to get a nice groove/swing and select drums that are not so techno-ish. Other than that, good job mate. keep up the good work
But why on earth are you using peak controller when FL have sidechaining through the Limiter/Compressor? I find it little creative to just use samplepack loops..
Do you need any education on music theory or experience in music to use FL and other prodcucing programs and make nice sounds, im very interested in making some disco style tunes as well as some psytrance mayeb fuse it together, but i have no experince with music, i know what kind of soudns i want in my head, just not sure if im capable of making it happen
when you side chain...do you use multi band side chaining or just regular comp sidechaining...if you do use the multiband comp sidechain which part do you pump with the kick?
@AUDIOMUNKY1 in most cases regular comp sidechaining. I use a ghost kick to sidechain so I dont need to have same BD for sidechain and regular bass. I normally pump the main sample but sometimes also the added bass
@clem597 audacity works fine, the hard part is you gotta just keep cuting the loop and importing it and seeing if its good, then re-cutting it to see if you can get it closer, but this is a very helpfull tut, just wanted to add that you really have to get the timing perfect, then do everything in this vid.
@gloryboxmusic rick rollin is a common prank in the internet, wich consist in saying you dat have a video about somethin interesting (example: how to make french house music), so someone cheks it up but ends to be a video from Rick Astley-never gonna pick yuh up.

1. How do you make the first F-X square move like that when you did the sidechain? Was that from the sidechain itself?

dude, when you opened up the scroller, and selected "House beat 1", what folder was it under? like I mean, was it in Sytrus, 3xOsc, SimSynth, something like that?

When I am doing step in 1:35 the effect isn't the same. :(
The loop is cutting, not changing his length...
I use FL9.
akinomk23 2 years ago
I think FL9 works a bit differently.
This is the solution.
1. Fit to tempo
2. On the samples channel setting change the TIME knob. The sample should snap to the beat grid on the playlist
