  • Where i can get the hihats loops

  • -_- you could of made this full sized and showed us where to click more.

  • wow , this is some fantastic work

  • I practised with an old Track of Jamiroquai and this is my result:

    /watch?v=GOhwnyKDurw&hd=1

Please say whether it is good or what I can make better ;-)

    Thank you !!!

  • @Schwenneyboy nice selection and arrangement of samples! The drumloop is a bit too loud and "static". try to get a nice groove/swing and select drums that are not so techno-ish. Other than that, good job mate. keep up the good work

  • @gloryboxmusic Thank you for your response !!

Your Tutorials are the only one, which helped me in producing Music with FL-Studio.

Please don't stop with making tutorials. You've got a great talent !!

  • @Schwenneyboy Nice one! I like it verry much...

  • @Vycknl Thank you :)

  • You can also use Fruity slicer to fit the sample with the tempo instead of working out on the pitch.

  • This was helpful. :)

  • But why on earth are you using peak controller when FL have sidechaining through the Limiter/Compressor? I find it little creative to just use samplepack loops..

  • @FluxTrax because i dont like the limiter thats why. Sample packs...this is a tutorial mate, you are welcome to use whateve you want...

  • Do you need any education on music theory or experience in music to use FL and other prodcucing programs and make nice sounds, im very interested in making some disco style tunes as well as some psytrance mayeb fuse it together, but i have no experince with music, i know what kind of soudns i want in my head, just not sure if im capable of making it happen

  • @RidiculousEndeavor practice practice practice :)

  • @RidiculousEndeavor bottom line, you dont need any education. Just be passionate about what you do

  • I think your tutorial is awesome! :D Where did you get those libraries? :)

  • @KonkordBass Sampled some, bought some, won some...

  • @gloryboxmusic Cool man, one more question, how did you make that thing with the volume of the sample? That thing that makes levels go up and down?

  • @KonkordBass Sidechaining i guess. please specify where in the video

  • when you side chain...do you use multi band side chaining or just regular comp sidechaining...if you do use the multiband comp sidechain which part do you pump with the kick?

  • @AUDIOMUNKY1 btw ur music is fuuuuunky and tutorials are awesome

  • @AUDIOMUNKY1 in most cases regular comp sidechaining. I use a ghost kick to sidechain so I dont need to have same BD for sidechain and regular bass. I normally pump the main sample but sometimes also the added bass

  • I love it, don't care about the rest. Sounds like traxsource. By dj juan

  • whats the name of the program where you cut the sound from that song in the begining of your video ?

  • the sample was not perfectly matched, i could here space between the beat, needs to be perfect to be effective.

  • @forwardpdx What's your point? Its not a tutorial on how to be precise, it just illustrates the main process....

  • @gloryboxmusic ....well whats the point in doing something if you're not going to do it properly/precisely? :D

  • @pipes0142 YOU need to do it precisely...i dont..not in these videos

  • @forwardpdx what did you used to sample the song

  • @clem597 audacity works fine, the hard part is you gotta just keep cuting the loop and importing it and seeing if its good, then re-cutting it to see if you can get it closer, but this is a very helpfull tut, just wanted to add that you really have to get the timing perfect, then do everything in this vid.

  • Hey what are some artist that you sample?

  • @rickylascaze001 I know how to sample etc. I'm just not familiar with funk artist.

  • when i move the loop mark at 1:35, it wont resample but cut off the end making the loop sound bad? whats wrong?

  • what program do u use to cut songs :)?

  • @TheBromander This vid: Wavelab. Nowadays I use FL Studio Edison that is integrated

  • @gloryboxmusic thank you! :)

  • wheres a good place to get good funk songs like this?

  • Amazing work dude! i'd love to have all your samples bank, sure they are insane ^^

  • this reminds me a little bit of daft punk

  • What the funk?

  • @FMLbot tru tru

  • What are the "red circle" and "green line" additional buttons on the right side of the titlebar of your Wavelab window?

  • @DMan3897 Not quite sure about that :)

  • I use FL9 I see that there are sidechain options in the mixer. If I right click on a channel it says 'sidechain to this track'.

Does this mean I don't need to use the fruity peak controller?

  • @anatolianINVASION I suppose there are several ways to do it. I havent tried that mixer function yet...but yeah, suppose you can :)

  • whats the tempo mate? =)

and could you please tell us where to download some effective house samples and tell us some useful VST plugins?

    bless

  • @MakaBeatz Think bmp is 128. House samples are gathered from various disco tunes from the 70s.

Most VSTs in this are bundled with FL studio

  • dude, where you get all the loops? :o they are amazing

  • NIce One :)))

  • What is the name of the fisrt Software ?

  • Fucking awesome man this is great stuff,

check my channel i have a video of a swing house track im working on

  • This is good stuff Thumbs up 4 ya :P keep em comin

I just recently made a electro house track if you're

interested in watching, its on my channel xD

  • @ImAlexYaKnow A what?

  • @gloryboxmusic Rick roll, look it up.

  • @ImAlexYaKnow ok. so you first thought it was...then what?

  • @gloryboxmusic rick rollin is a common prank in the internet, wich consist in saying you dat have a video about somethin interesting (example: how to make french house music), so someone cheks it up but ends to be a video from Rick Astley-never gonna pick yuh up.

bless for the tutorial. i also wanna make french house. seems a kind of hard, but my dad told me its not so hard if you practice it

  • 0:02 what program is that i would appreciate if if u can tell me! thanks man!!

  • @KellarJS WaveLab

  • Nice tutorial!!! Great job!

  • Awesome

    thank you for sharing!!

  • @Argonotic Welcome

  • very nice! Love this! Now I know how to make a sidechain, a bassline and to work with an EQ and other great tools. Thanks!!!

  • I'm not really sure how the side chain works any chance you could explain ? >.<

  • I'm not really sure how the side chain works any chance you explain ? >.<

  • This is emasculating, you just did in 8 minutes what I have been trying to do for 15 years.

  • @djVinnyBricks Aww really? Thanks m8...im sure you can do it too!

  • I'm very sorry, but this ain't a tutorial. I tried to follow it but you rush through every step. Certain actions take place outside the capture screen and you lost me before I was even halfway. I do like the video though, but it's just not a tutorial I'll be able to follow.

  • @wouterjongeneel Sorry, just had 10 minutes of recoding time for YT :)

  • @wouterjongeneel use pause button :)

  • hey m8! great job there... but i was wondering... how did u cut the song? and put it in FL?

  • @AEKisLifeR21 not sure i understand the question

  • @gloryboxmusic he wants to know how you did select that part of the song and how you got it into fruity loops =)

  • @saambom Lol...well if he doesnt know that then I guess it will be pretty darn hard to follow the rest of the tut :)

  • @gloryboxmusic I really think you should answer anyway cuz then people will like this tut more

  • @saambom I used Wavelab to cut the sample (but you might as well do it in FL Studio Edison). I then saved the portion of the sample I extracted and imported it as a Wave file into FL studio. Simple as that :)

  • @AEKisLifeR21 Hi, I used Wavelab to cut the sample (but you might as well do it in FL Studio Edison). I then saved the portion of the sample I extracted and imported it as a Wave file into FL studio. Simple as that :)

  • what is a sidechain?

  • @TheStelioBA letting another channels peak controll a specific setting of another channels effect. E.g. letting the bassdrum controlling the compression which will create a pumping effect

  • @TheStelioBA Sidechaining is compression.

  • Name of song "Reach your peak"

  • whats the name of that song u use at the beginning?? and where did u find sucha perfect sample : O

    please tell me, thanks

  • @MaiTaiMyName "Reach your peak"

  • would making a song with samples and loops as you did make it legal to say its own music and sell it as such?

  • @Andreilg3 No u need to clear copyrighted samples.

  • Awesome, this was exactly what i was looking for. I got mad music to mess with and now i can finally do it. Thanks!

  • what sample pack did you use for the hihat loops?! nice work by the way!!! :)

  • @willhofbauer Uebershall Loop Essentials

  • Does anyone make Disco House using Logic Pro?

  • nice remix but aaah its to fast for a person who just trying to learn.. I already know some stuff but i would like to know what you're actually doing and not just watch..but still thanks for trying! :)

  • @jfslim25 this tutorial is not focusing on the mastering/mixing part unfortunately. I think there are nice tuts on how to get it to sound right,

  • Wheere I can get this nice beat?

  • @Schwenneyboy Sorry, there is no song. Just improvisation...

  • @gloryboxmusic No I mean the House Beat !

  • @gloryboxmusic I mean the HOUSE LOOP BEAT in the background.

  • aaaaahhh... fit the loop to the tempo??? what kind of producer are you??

    cmon man!! chop it up!!

  • this is SOOO NICEEE MUSIC !!!!

  • sick !

  • Amazing man tnx

I make music 2 so plz check it out youtube.com/user/colorboxmusic

and i also have a soundcloud account called: soundcloudYcom/colorboxmusic

    (replace Y with .)

  • where can i download this song?.[= do you have a link

  • @JAYTORRES1000 sorry, no song - this is just improvisation for the tutorial

  • i love the melody, check out my song if you like. after watching this tutorial i learned how to use samples and cut unwanted sounds off so thanks ;)

  • @MrSimas1992 and how do you use sample and cut unwanted sounds, plz tell me ;)

  • @Kabidela360 if you have samples, put them in Image-Line/FL Studio/Data/Patches and then click small refresh button above left side of screen where all the sounds are packs, vintage, dance, hip hop etc. i guess you know where they are. then just drag sample to that space where you cant put paterns only automation. then add a parametric eq 2 on the sample and play. cutting sounds out is taking some time. good luck with your music! :)

  • fitting the loop like that is abit rascal because it timestretches it which means it alters the pitch of the track, if you have audacity there is a effect called 'change tempo' this alters tempo to whatevers desired but maintains the key and the same pitch of the sample...just a thought for any viewers of this vid :)

  • @tjmidge no, timestretching does not imply pitching. Just transposing it will though

  • you're awesome dude !!

  • I started making music on FL Studio and now I'm using Ableton. Even though this is for FL Studio this is very helpful, thanks!!

I usually make progressive house tracks, but I've always loved deep house/disco house songs.

  • god job

  • PLEAS what is the first program :D ?

  • @Simonvw12 I already wrote that: Wavelab

  • Thumbs up. Very good job. Thanks for the tutorial.

  • man that is sick...glory i have one question i use qwerty keyboard to play music on fl but instead of clicking with a mouse to create a note in piano roll how can I create note with qwerty keyboard? So i can save time clicking all those notes

  • @Dannyjjango Google for "typing keyboard to piano" and check the result

  • Cool video but not very helpfull to me. You use all these tools and samples i don't have?

  • @mouzurX well, you're not supposed to use the same samples...just understand the basic principles and you can do with other samples

  • You're crazy good! Please make a full release of this track! (If you haven't already ^^,)

  • Hey gloryboxmusic,

where do you have download de house beats?

    Give a reaction please. ^_^

  • @ThaDeviil Not downloaded - won them in a remix competition

  • PLEASE TEACH ME HOW TO MAKE THAT SUB 2 TYPES OF KICKS PLEASE...!

  • @phantascy It aint really a sub kick. The side chaining effect makes it go thumb though. Google for Bass Drum Side Chaining and you will find it. For the BD itself, just compress it to give it some more power. :)

  • whoa an extemely good track...

  • What program did u used for decoded de song at the begining?

  • @alltreegreen Wavelab

  • @gloryboxmusic all right thank u :)

  • @alltreegreen this is audacity

  • @XxKrayZeexX Nope, its Wavelab

  • nice tutorial but im only using FL 9 demo, could someone please please PM me a step by step guide on how i actually make the song from scratch like the tools needed to sample and the tools for sidechaining etc and also how to record on FL =D thankyou so much whoever responds i will forver be in your gratefullness

  • how do you load those sidechain effects in mixer ?

  • Gd sample, reminds me of the good ol' french house era of the late 90's

  • thx !

  • Hello Glorybox, sorry for my bad englisch, i would ask you where are you found u're famous house_beat_1, are u create it or take it in a sound pack like vengeance or something like that, and which's one please ?

Tahk u for u're tuto, they really cool.

  • @xavfoot1 Hi, the drumloop is my own created sample.

  • he knows disco, but i dont quite like it

  • brilliant! this is great for creating funky house stuff, iv wanted to know how they get such a groovy funky sound :D great help

  • thnx so much for this

  • Hi,

You can also use this house beat for me because I am a dj and I am looking for someone who can work with this program you would really be very helpful if you want to do that for me! Thanks

    dj deformer

  • Nice job mate.I like your sample collection.good job mate.

  • -.- ur just sampling around and take loops.....thats no skill !

  • @ZitrokLaus Hahahha....man, you are not that bright are you?

  • @ZitrokLaus You're new to house music aren't you?

  • @kraMarks not really....

  • @ZitrokLaus You must be. One of the most important aspects of house (maybe not sub-genres like minimal or tech etc.) is sampling.

  • @kraMarks so true

  • @ZitrokLaus

:D do you know daft punk, the prodigy, justice, fatboy slim or rjd2? or any hiphop artist?

tell them they have no skills :D

  • you can also use edison that comes with Fl studio.

  • I have two questions.

    1. How do you make the first F-X square move like that when you did the sidechain? Was that from the sidechain itself?

    2. When you inserted the sample, there was an arrow next to it, where you clicked and made the sample fit the tempo. My version (Fruity Loops 9 XXL) does not have that. Why?

BTW, nice song. I'm definitely inspired.

  • Nevermind on the second question. I just want to find out about the first one.

  • What is the name of the first program where u make the song smaller?

  • @Melvinleerdam any audio editor will do. Im using Wavelab

  • What is the name of that first program?

  • dude, amazing job btw 5/5

  • dude, when you opened up the scroller, and selected "House beat 1", what folder was it under? like I mean, was it in Sytrus, 3xOsc, SimSynth, something like that?

  • create your own newbie

  • ..this is an artist at work...my re-fucking-spect

  • hey is there anyone site where i could download that percussion pack?

  • hey can you make a french house tutorial

  • Thought i did.... watch?v=bml_AQMs3Xs

  • its like French House

  • When I am doing step in 1:35 the effect isn't the same. :(

The loop is cutting, not changing his length...

    I use FL9.

  • I think FL9 works a bit differently.

    This is the solution.

    1. Fit to tempo

    2. On the samples channel setting change the TIME knob. The sample should snap to the beat grid on the playlist

  • Hey, does the peak controller improves the drums quality?

  • @koollord NO, it just let you control other values, such as the level of another channel, by the peak of the track you assigned the effect to. E.g. every hit from the bassdrum will lower the volume of the bass channel temporarily to create a pumping effect.

  • how did you cut that track in the begining? :D

  • Not sure what you mean. Can you explain and I will try to answer

  • in the begining when you copy a part from the song reach your peak, what program are u using at that part? :P

  • Steinberg Wavelab

  • @oscarebest you can also use edison, wich is iinside flstudio to sample audio

  • @pallmanni okay thank you :D listen to my songs on my chanel :D

  • wow awsome tutorial, but i wish it was with a bit more explanation, but still very good

  • @THCPiLLZ yeah sorry, im not a big fan of speaking into the microphone myself :)
