Pretty damn clear even this early that they were damn talented musicians. You can hear the Rockabilly influence clear as day, and that slight Buddy Holly style tropical vibe.
December 8, 1980 - John Lennon (singer/guitarist/composer, THE BEATLES) was shot to death by a man named Mark David Chapman as he (Lennon) and his wife Yoko Ono returned to their New York apartment in The Dakota. His body was cremated at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale, New York. Ono scattered his ashes in New York's Central Park, where the Strawberry Fields memorial was later created.

I got all their albums on my iPod and then it broke. And it was the day before we went on a road trip. And, of course, I wasn't allowed to play my CDs in the car. I was very annoyed.
So glad these are on here. I own some Albums myself. I've always loved the old music. The music now is blah! And I'm 19, no one I know would even give this a chance. Pitiful.
@sunlitroxy16 im only 14 and i have all there hits on my ipod. sometimes i get embaresed, because i hear others peoples music and its usally todays music.
really something to hear, February 11, 63 is what we are hearing... for all they knew it was the only record they'd ever make, their heart's desire was to make a record and here it is. John singing with a cold, no overdubbing here, this is all simultaneous playing and singing.... what a job.
Such raw energy. These guys were fighting for their career in this album. Awesome! These boys never knew what kind of fame and influence they're going to make.....forever!
0 dislikes. what does that say? Beatles FOREVER!

@RonDAXEN I'm sure you meant December 8, 1980 not 1940 right?
