IPCC is much to optimistic. IPCC is paid by the oil-industry to keep their estimates harmless and give big oil another 20 years of earnings from fossile fuel.

While IPCC speaks about "possibilities", the real facts are already in. Lots of meteorologists and geologists have made their own investigation and have found that IPCC estimates are outdated.

i see lots of people making claims about climate change.... even as they demonstrate the inability to differentiate what heat and what temperatures are... and so i was told by a fox news viewer that i didn't know what i was talking about when i said a bathtub full of lukewarm water had more heat than a simple, lit, birthday candle..... with such outspoken experts as that.... who needs facts?

Run the experiment again. This time put the ice cube at the bottom of an empty glass. Let it melt and measure of the water level in the glass. You have just modeled the melting of the Greenland Ice Sheet or that of W. Antarctica.

Now, mark the water level in the glass and heat up the water. The water will expand and raise the level in the glass.

The western part of Antarctica shown here is about 1-2 procent of the he continent and the rest has been cooling and expanding for about 30-40 years.

There was record sea-ice in Antarctica winter 2007.

Rajendra Pachauri is a qualified economist and engineer. Why is he the chairman of the IPCC.

He was also the boss of Indian Oil and has a career in the energy sector.
