  • great time great music

  • sophisticated yet savage! suits the whole Tiki culture completely.Urbane primitivism!

  • how do you like that 100% Exotica piano right in the middle of everything holding it together! whodathunk it....

  • I feel the heat! :P

  • This is song from about 1935. Very cool "exotica" version. Thanks for sharing.

  • Is his version of A Taste of Honey better than the more popular Herb Alpert version? Haven't heard it before.

  • Great video,

    Love Martin Denny.

Love this music. it is great to dance

to as well as listen to. :-))

    Thanx for posting.

  • i reckon this may be his best one, with quiet village at number two ; )

  • Highly unlikely, Martin Denny is one of the founders of the exotica tiki genre. It started in Hawaii, at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. Now its rare to hear it here. Sadly.

  • Actually, most, if not ALL of Denny's influence came from Les Baxter who wrote and arranged most of these songs years before.

  • I did not know that. How does Aurthur Lyman fit into the tiki legend?

  • I believe Lyman was an off shoot of Denny's band. I think he was in the band earlier, but I could be mistaken.

  • @drewby7777 Yeah thank you, wonder how Baxter felt about Denny?

  • great song
