@w1n5t0n4 First if you dont have any windows open the cube wont shrink while rotating... second the option is 3 D windows in compiz config settings manager. you can specify minimum cube size and depth to use for windows while rotation..
@dhruvrsingh sorry, but how do u get to 3d windows, i cant find it in compiz config, i did get the cube to be far away when i spin it, w/ or w/o windows open
Yeah sort of a similar story for me. 10.04 is amazing in the sense that it does SO MUCH more on its own in comparison to 8.04 hardy I tried the last time.
My wireless would require ndswrapper to make it work et al, drivers for nvidia were a pain, and so many more niggles in hardy - that are TOTALLY ironed out in here. 10.04 rocks!
Its a massive improvement, and I hope people realize and try it out.
I started playing with Ubuntu a few months ago. I dual booted for a time. Each time I had to boot into Windows I found myself getting pissed off and angry and I gave windows the finger fully and erased Windows from all 4 of my computers. I am still learning and it took some work to get things all set up and going but hey MY COMPUTER WORKS! ALL the time! I have had Windows pc since 1991 and am now DONE with Microsoft!

my position on linux is this.
if ALL you do is normal stuff
download stuff, watch movies, schoolwork, internet
. I prefer linux for browsing because Im not afraid of viruses, you'd have to run them under wine or something to make them work lol
i use windows only for select hardware, but im not a "common" user
