third of all, the professional vertical leap is not 40 plus inches, its at 34 inches. actually, the average vertical leap in the NBA is 28 inches.

these sport science series has got many of their facts wrong. its just hard to watch and believe what they say.

this test has so many flaws. first of all, you test your vertical from a standing postion, not by taking a step into it. look at 3:55, the slow-mo, you can clearly see in the beginning that he stepped into it. his vertical is prob at about 46.

second of all, i have trouble believing many of the things the narrator says.

example: at 8:27 its stated that lowrys head is above 11 feet. the rim is at 10 feet. i could not see lowrys head above the rim in at anytime.

What about the realms of high jumping, throws and shut putters or shouldn't we say olympic lifters. Michael Jordan only has 48 inch running vert from parabola measures. Ac has 55 inch running vertical from exact measure. Even Nate Robinson jumps about 1 inch higher than this mathematical measures. Michael's 48 was inaccurate.
