  • Huckabee is probably pretty accurate. She probably was screaming, seeing as how she was giving birth to a child. I'm sure it hurt. I don't know if you've been around during the birth of a baby, but it's not a very pleasant affair. It's more of a bloody, screaming mess, and that's in a sanitized hospital. The birth of Jesus took place in a cave with a bunch of stinking farm animals. Silent night? I would bet not.

  • Huckabee is teaching that the temporal circumstances overshadowed the spiritual glory and context of the event. To some secularists that might make sense, but it denies the spiritual magnitude of the event. What Huckabee is teaching is not in the Bible. For instance, the idea that Mary probably doubted the divinity of her Son, was scared and screamed and did not appreciate giving birth to the Son of God.

Huckabee is in tune with secular rather than spiritual perspective.

  • Did you read the book he is referring to? To put this video out there without reading or releasing the context of which it's in is pretty sleazy. Read the book "A simple christmas" and you'll see what he's talking about.

  • From "A Simple Christmas":

"He didn't plot an arrival that was all about huge ceremonies and fine linens, festive music, scrubby-clean surroundings, and advanced medical technology. From the beginning, God wanted to show up in the lowliest of conditions so that in the future, no one would assume that their own situation was simply too humble to merit His attention."

That's what he was talking about, and probably elaborated on before you cut off the interview.

  • No, your attempt to rescue Huck didn't work. Huck preaches his own ideas above the word of God and denies the spiritual glory of the event.

He misses the message. It is not a "complete disaster" as he said. It was a glorious birth of the Savior of us all. The message is, the glory of God is not of this world.

Mary understood that. She did not doubt the divinity of Jesus. In defending his misguided mockery you are putting your loyalty to Huckabee above your respect for God and Holy writ.

  • hucky spoiling firstgraders.

how hard has he only worked his brain to come to his genius conclusions?

he sure had to cool his had while figuring out,

with a soaked sponge , like a marathon runner.

what a clown, and he isn`t in the top 5 of them, but the year isn`t over , yet.
