  • why not get a shengshou?

  • @blindbiker22 this is 2 years old video..

  • retire your eastsheen????? what!? no. i think that it is better than the rubik's brand (unless you modified it)

  • erm? algorithms?

  • Oh yeah it Rocks!!!! I can t get 8x8 cubes ;(

  • can i solve the centers like a 3x3? and then do the edges?

  • @Shockszzbyyous No because the centers are not conected in any way.

  • @Speedcuber105 i figured this out almost a year back ;)

    thanks for reply :)

  • @Shockszzbyyous Good to know, happy cubing!

  • @Speedcuber105 always :) happy cubing two!

  • i was thinking about trying new methods with all my cubes do you have and different methods besides these two?

  • the part at the end made no sense. i had to pause n stop every move u made

  • do anybody tell me where i can get a cheap 4x4 and 5x5 eastsheen

  • @toomelumsen you can get one at a fairly good price off ebay.

  • you can get it from amazon

  • okay thx

  • what bout mefferts

  • Me too. Rubik's 5x5s rock.

  • how the hell am i sposed to do this

  • I don't understand how to get the centers without messing up the opposite side. I ca only get the line...

  • Same here I like my Rubiks 5x5 over Eastsheen.

  • my rubiks 5x5 the center corners turn out of place alot and it gets irritating any suggestions to keep them in place more?

  • omg dude, you say, just like that, i can barely complete 2 faces, damn!! XD

  • man,i like your toturial...you are more better solving the last two corners than me.^^.it takes me alot of time.lol

  • hi im henry, and this is nice method just not like of eriks method, i thinks it depend on a person

  • finaly somone who solves the white side first =D

  • you hands are very large O_O

  • do you have a rubiks studio 5x5 or just a cheap professor???

  • can i have your eastsheen 5x5 because my crappy chinese 5x5 cant move :P

  • No.

  • do you know any good ways to break in a rubiks 5x5, i lubed it with jig-a-loo but it didn't help much..?

  • Use it lots.

  • could you please explain how to solve the sides after you get the first 2 done. ive done the white, yellow, and green side, but i cant figure out how to get the other sides done without botching the finished sides

  • tilt the cube so that yellow and white are on the left and right sides... Then you can get the rest of the sides by moving the middle layers, and the U and F sides. Once you're green side is done, every move you do that disturbs it has to have a move that restores it. It's the same as when you make the white and yellow. It's easy, you just have to be careful.

  • why my rubiks 5x5 can turn 2nd layer by itself??!

  • If your asking a question, please make sure it makes sense before you post it. I don't know what you're asking me.

  • because it's a retooled (new) Rubik's 5x5

  • it's a new retooled version of the profeser and is much better out of the box but isn't as good in the long run because the old ones had a sturdier but looser mechanism

  • the vcube five is so awesome. My rubik's brand broke, so i got the vcube without knowing about cubesmith. i might order another piece to replace the broken one, but if i do i wouldn't really ever use the rubik's brand anymore

  • is your 5x5 retooled? the one where the 2nd layer can turn by itself? and does your rubiks 5x5 corners twist? please answer all questions.

  • No, No, and No. =)

I heard the re-tooled ones are really sweet. I am going to buy one soon, but I don't know how to tell the difference when they are in the box.

  • okay, cant wait for your review :)

  • Oh well, i bought an eastsheen when i found out they had screws. Since I heard that rubiks 5x5s become loose over time, I decided to get an eastsheen ('cause of the adjustable tension)

  • When it comes to 5x5s, you can't really go wrong. They are all pretty good.

When you start pulling wicked 3 minute times though, you might consider trying other brands.

  • Man...that's sad news because its been 1 week since I got my eastsheen 5x5 and I'm already getting around 3.5 minutes averages...oh well. I don't feel like spending money on a rubik's 'cause I would need tiles, and the V-cube costs a bomb :(. Anyway I guess I love my eastsheen :)

  • i hate my eastsheen

i fight lock ups on it so much

that my best time is +5min

  • why is it bad to have awesome times?

btw I'm subscribing, even if I don't always agree with what you say, your vids are still awesome!

  • has ur 5x5 pop alot or pieces snap alot?

  • No, it's awesome.

  • hey i tried lubing up my 4x4. it worked, but not as i wanted it. it gets stuck but when it doesnt its smooth as hell. now i wished i handt lubed it. im apprehensive of trying this with my 5x5 since it cost me $30. is it worth it? i use industrial silicon.

  • I'll go out on a limb and assume you're talking about RUBIK'S brand cubes.

Well... the trouble with Rubik's 4x4s is that once they are loose, they are too loose. Mine locks up a lot too, but it is very smooth. Still it's slow to solve with.

Rubik's 5x5s, on the other hand, don't lock up! They're awesome, but in order to make them awesome they need lube and a lot of breaking in. It can take a long time to break in a Rubik's 5x5, but lube deffinitely won't hurt it.

  • So most of it is pretty intuative like the 4x4?

  • depends how smart you are :)

if you can do a 4x4, you can figgure out a 5x5 pretty easy... parity is a big pain if you don't know the algos though.

  • WOAH!!!! YOUTUBE WILL READ YOUR COMMENTS BACK TO YOU NOW!!!

You're the first time I noticed lol

  • Yeah, tis very pimp.

  • can you make a video to make your rubiks 5x5 smooth

  • Not much to say. It sucked balls until I left it on my shelf for a year. Most people don't know this, but springs loosen up on their own. A tight puzzle usually breaks itself in just sitting there.

  • Can I have your Eastsheen 5x5?

  • I knew someone would ask that. lol

    No. I'm a collector.

  • the centre frame worked!!

  • It's actually the one-quarter frame. Apparently, YouTube got annoyed by people putting unrelated pictures in the center frame to get tons of views on crappy videos. As a result, they randomize where they pick the center frame from to some degree.

I didn't want to have a 5 second long center frame like I did on the BLD tutorial, so I thought I'd take a gamble with the 1/4 frame. It worked! :)

  • awesome
