Dude, anyone who uses USC's tuition rates to argue against us need to seriously think. USC's tuition rates are just as high as Loyola's, USD's, NYU's, etc... because we're private universities. So, why not talk shit about them? Because they're not whoopin your asses on national television, that's why. Out of state or international students going to public schools like FUCLA are paying close to USC's cost, but USC's rate is the same for everyone wishing to attend, cal residents or not.

The listing included , overall ranking, costs, graduation rates, and hired for employment faster after earning a degree. Things that really matter to me.

However, I do suggest that you get information from other sources as well to make an informed decision (which I'm sure you've done). Rankings and such are very subjective and each source have their own criteria (i.e. USC is ranked higher than UCLA within "US News and World Report".) The only ranking system that matters except for major-specific ones is US News. That's the only one everyone knows and cares about.

So we're going to be getting even better, more qualified freshmen classes during this economy.

At UCLA we pay approximately 10 grand for tuition per year without counting housing. At the University of Second Choice they pay about 40 grand a year without counting housing. Here's the dilemma:Why do you pay so much money, probably as much as an IVY league School, and your overall ranking (the one that most applicants care about before applying to college look at) is 3 spots below UCLA's? By the way, UCLA does not offer a business program to undergrads (my major), or any other program under the business umbrella besides economics, which is more of a social/behavioral science rather than a business science.

@USCTrojansV ,no I didn't hear about it through my friend. I did however read about it in a Forbe's magazine listing of top ranked schools public and private universities. The listing included , overall ranking, costs, graduation rates, and hired for employment faster after earning a degree. Things that really matter to me.

However, I do suggest that you get information from other sources as well to make an informed decision (which I'm sure you've done). Rankings and such are very subjective and each source have their own criteria (i.e. USC is ranked higher than UCLA within "US News and World Report".) USC fits me with respect to my education/career goals, and I just love our culture. Good Luck!

Yeah UCLA sure does offer a better education. I love not being able to sign up for the classes I want, using broken down facilities, sharing fucking test tubes with 10 other people during labs, and having to sit on the floor.

I don't trust any ranking that has Williams College above Princeton, Yale, Harvard, MIT, Stanford and Cal Tech and other much more prestigious institutions. All that tells me is that Forbes tends to focus on a few aspects of colleges instead of the big picture.
The only ranking system that matters except for major-specific ones is US News. That's the only one everyone knows and cares about.
You're inferior to USC both in football and in academics. Get over it.

By the way, the economy may affect the application process, but it doesn't affect USC. USC has 36,000 applicants each year for 3000 positions. Unless applicants drop down to 3000, there's no effect. In fact, it will be nice, as it will weed out those who meet USC requirements but aren't good enough to get scholarships, whether from USC or otherwise. So we're going to be getting even better, more qualified freshmen classes during this economy.

You on the other hand, obviously, do not attend either of these schools. P.S. I do recall a student getting stabbed in the neck last October by her own lab partner, in class, at fUCLA.

At UCLA we pay approximately 10 grand for tuition per year without counting housing. At the University of Second Choice they pay about 40 grand a year without counting housing.
