I am trying to get hold of this footage from Granada so we can use it in a film we are making for the Museum of Liverpool. It will be used in a section about showing how the fans have a great passion for the football in the city Liverpool. It would be helpful to know the date this was aired so that Granada can more easily locate this report for me. Please email me on lucy@centrescreen.co.uk if you know this information. Thanks.
We need to move, no doubt about that, but to rip one of the most illustrious clubs in the country from their spiritual home to a retail park in kirkby is wrong.
We cant afford to rebuild Goodison though. The current stadium would have to be took down stand by stand. Meaning we would need alot of planning permission each time. Would have to buy alot of property around the stands to. We are already going into alot of debt just to move to an average stadium. It would cost way to much to do Goodison up. But if you ment leave Liverpool we actually left Liverpool when we went to Goodison as it wasnt in City borders.
The fact is we cant afford a world class stadium unless we get into the Champions League for the next 5 or so years which is unlikely. At Kirkby we get a good stadium with the potential to be world class. All the thing KEIOC say is a load of shit. The stadium will be 3-4 times the stadium Goodison is because its a shit hole. The transport and parking will be amazing considering its by the M57 which has alot of entrances and Kirkby has a big industrial area. Kirkby is the best option for Everton

I'd be happy to leave Goodison, wherever it may be in Liverpool. I'd even go to Kirkby if it was the world class stadium that we were promised.
