  • i can land a bigger heil on my hand

  • i find annoying how the controlles have been changed, ie throttle on other side. have to learn all over again!!!!!!!!!!!! sucks

  • BananaHobby cant keep anything in stock!

  • @TheKnifingRocket I hear that shit....quite frustrating... Gifts purchased elsewhere... :-( sorry banana i think your awesome tho! get that shop stocked!!!

  • Will Walkera Helis bind with my Spektrum DX5e transmitter, I have a hobbietower bnf plane but am looking at helis now. Thank you and God bless.

  • hi do you guys sell the little 2 upper and lower gears with out buying the 2 motors for it?

  • looks like underpowered?

  • Шо за ЛОХ?

  • I have watched you fly airplanes and helis and i am amazed at how good you are. i bought this heli and loved it. but i had trouble disconnecting the battery and the connector broke is there a trick to disconnecting it or are they really that hard to disconnect?

  • hahah eight batteries i got this 300 dollar walkera proffessional and crashed it because i didnt no it needed 8 batteries :(

  • I'm sort of a begginner... I used to have pathetic heli's that kept on veering. Do you think this would be a good buy? Looks good to me.

  • looks like a sweet 4 chan micro heli to me.

  • lmao, I thought you meant 4chan as in the site that makes fun of everything.... :D

  • why?

  • price ??

  • pretty nice heli, I have the metal version and its incredibly agile, though I´ve been experiencing some vibration...blades aren´t in the best shape, can this be the reason??? help please thx!

  • Blades will always cause vibration if they are on the blade grips too tight or if they are chipped or damaged. Thanks for the comment!

  • Lama 2-1 is hands-down the best co-axial copter. I own the Trex 450, Blade CX2 and Walkera 5#10.

I fly the Lama 2-1 all day and the others sit there.

It is almost indestructible. It is so agile and easy to fly.

I also fly it outside all the time. It is a major hit.

Get it! You will love it.

  • SWEEEET! Thanks so much for your comment!

  • i got a question for you pete...is the metal version heavier, doesn´t it affect performance of the heli??? thx

  • The metal version is about the same weight. It is made of CNC aluminum so the weight is just about the same at the plastic.

  • @bananahobby whats the pricing difference between metal and plastic?

    what are the prices?

  • hey i love the review, thanks for posting one. i was looking for a palm sized 4ch co-axile heli. and others were 170 :(. this looks like its the one for me :D

  • Awesome! Thanks for the comment!

  • how old were u when u started flying helicopters

  • I started flying helicopters about 1.5 years ago.

  • Thanks for the reveiw bro

  • Thanks for the comment!!

  • Hey pete, I got a question for ya. I'm ordering one of these like today or tomorrow. Should I upgrade to the metal rotor head? What are the advantages and disadvantages of this, and is it worth it?

  • There is no big difference in performance at all. The metal just looks cool. They both fly the same.

  • well, that's very interesting...I guess quality-wise or in a crash the metal would hold up better though...I actually really interested in the flying saucer thing if I'd known about it wouldda saved up and bought that instead, cause this is my first 4ch getting it to hover is a real chore. Also when I put the hood on tight it makes this whining sound, even though it's not touching the gear or anything.

  • The very top of the head where the flybar goes through can break easily on a crash. I highly recommend metal on that specific part.

The rest of the rotor system like the swashplate and blade grips can be plastic if you want to save money.

  • Hey Pete, I enjoyed your review vid. This heli is sooo much fun! I need a replacement small plastic gear for the aileron servo on my lama2. Does the "gear set" on the spare parts page of your site include this small plastic gear?

  • Message me your order number and I will ship you out the servo gear!

  • i love tish heli biut i crash it XD

  • Thats okay! Fix it and fly again!

  • i would be very happy if you or someone else on youtube could do a video about how to use the trimms to the helicopter

  • We will work on a video about the trimming soon.

  • did you charge your battery, or is the battery already pre-charged?

  • You should always charge a battery before the first flight.

  • I ordered a Lama2 yesterday i paid 3 day shipping. I need this thing on UPS yesterday please. it didnt ship the same day.

  • I'm sorry! We ship as soon as it is packed and prepped for shipping! We do have a 1 to 3 day processing time. Thanks for your patience!

  • is it just me or..

when I press to go forwards, this heli goes forward-left, and when i try to go backwards, it goes backward-right..

  • Try the trims on the transmitter. That should adjust for some of the directional issues.

  • pete! love the show your awsome keep up all the great reviews of all these cool cool micro heli's

  • Thank you so much for the comment! More videos to come!

  • pete, do you know if you have to bind it every time you put the battery in or does it stay binded once you do it for the first time?

  • All the Walkera 2.4's are auto bind. When the transmitter is first turned on, the Walkera light flashes. At that time plug in the helicopter. Then FLY!

  • thank you thinking of getting one. you helped loads

  • Anytime!

  • Hey Pete, does it can fly outdoors? I mean with feel wind?

    Tnx

  • hi, i dont have one but i think it isnt that good for outside with wind. without wind its good but because the heli is so small, i dont think that it is much wind-resistable.

  • Thanks!!

  • It has to be really light to no wind. It is so small that any wind will blow it around. It is a GREAT indoor flier!

  • wish the battery last lil longer

  • The battery is a 400mah 1S 3.7volt. It is smaller than a quarter. Flight time is still about 8 minutes. Thats pretty good for the size of the helicopter and battery! Also, spare batteries are about $8.00 on or site.

  • hmm my birthday is comming up soon and im trying to choose my first helicopter. I was going to get the Esky Dauphin but now i just found this. Generally for a beginner would it be better to get a larger helicopter like the dauphin or a micro one like this? This seems much more stable than the dauphin

  • This one is just smaller and flies similar to the Dauphin. It is a bit more sturdy because it is so light. Very stable and just tons of fun!!

  • Pete i just got my lama 2 and it is sweet. i flew it in my basement and it works great i would recommend it to anyone who is wanting to start the hobby of rc aircraft in general

  • Awesome! Enjoy my friend!

  • Everything is excellent! Happy New Year! We ship worldwide!

  • hey pete, sounds like a plan to do a review on trimming and detailed flying. keep up the good work. awesome reviews!

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • i have flown a 3 ch airplane and again was just wondering if any of those skills would transfer to this heli

  • Helis are very different than an airplane. The basic controls of elevator and aileron and rudder are similar. So it will help you a bit.

  • when would you estimate that i will get the helicopter based on ground shipping and that i ordered it yesterday?

  • It will depend on where you are located. The shipping services are not working tomorrow to Friday the 2nd. If you are in the US, it is about 3 to 5 business days for shipping.

  • I just ordered this helicopter yesterday and I cant wait for it to arrive. Your review was very helpful but i was just wondering what simulator you would recommend to train with?

  • Thanks!! You can use the Esky simulator we have on our site or any flight simulator. The quality of the sims are all very good now!

  • I'm sorry I do not speak Portuguese and the translation is not good when I tried to figure out what you wrote.

  • once again great review! for your next review, could you show how you do the trim?

  • Thanks for the comment! I am working on more detailed flying and trimming reviews! Coming soon!

  • pre packaged lama

    This LAma is teeny

    LOL LOL :)

  • LOL! Thanks for the comment!

  • This nice little heli costs around 120 euro in europe, I never flight one of these befor, are you sure it is a good idea to buy one of these? Looks pretty fragile, as I never done it befor i don't think it can handle much floor-smacking :S

  • Coaxial helicopters are the way to start learning helicopter RC flight. This small size actually makes it more durable because the head speed is lower and the helicopter is so light, it can stand some bumping around. Happy Holidays!

  • sorry but i just haf to ask. was the lama trimmed? or straight out of the box?

  • It was trimmed pretty close. A couple of clicks on the trim tab for the Elevator and it was nice and even!

  • wow thanks for the quick reply!! i cannot wait to get one of these i chose it over the mcx because this one seemed to be newer (thats what the guys at the model shop reckons lol)

  • Awesome! You will love it! Let me know if you have any more questions!

  • thanks for the video looks really great! i put one on layby not too long ago. i hope its as good as it seems.

  • Thanks for the comment!

  • Thanks again Pete! Can't wait for your review of the 4G3!

  • Coming soon! Thanks for the comment!

  • I just sent the link for this on Banana Hobby to my wife. She says "What do you want for Christmas...clothes, tools?"..."Nope! I wanna Lama!"

  • LOL!! Nice! I want tools for Christmas! =)

  • Neat - I've got one like this called the BLADE MCX - and I have never flown a helicopter in my life and I can these (recommend for INDOOR use only) but they are great great fun.

  • Yes they sure are fun!!

  • Iv got the some one as this but its branded as a Spirt Cx2 and indoors it almost flys itself, so easy to fly its not real

Took it outdoors and there was only just a slight breeze but even then it affected it badly, indoors only unless its total calm outside

  • Thanks for the information and for your comment!

  • cool

  • Thanks!

  • Its Coaxial.

  • Yes it is! =)

  • it's so tiny. you can't do 3d with that lol. :-)

  • No 3D but the new one coming soon WILL! =D

  • awesome can't wait to see.
