  • Wish I had a lovely view out of my window like your's all I see is my neighbours houses. Really enjoyed watchin your vid :D

  • peter...love your voice over...........

  • What a lovely view you have. Trust me you're lucky, all I see when I look out of my window is other houses. I hope you get your balloon ride.

  • oh my goodness mr. peter your place seems like heaven!! waking up in the morning, looking out the window and seen trees!! nature, looks so calm and the fog!!! I want to live there !

  • I thought it was all fascinating, you make it all sound very interesting, I think they should employ you on sky news, for the trooping of the clors and the Cenotaph, opening of the Houses of Parliament your a good talker, nice radio voice too, why don't you work for your local hospital radio, even geriatrics still have a role to play,

  • You are truly an inspiration.

  • Gee, wouldn't it be funny of Virgin contacted you? (wink wink, nudge nudge) Muhahaha. :)

  • that's baloons a virgin, hahahahahhaha

  • Wondeful video geriatric, you are an amazing person. I love listening to your perspectives, as your generation has seen so much change and I believe we can learn a lot from you all.

  • Well I've watched many of your videos over the past year or so and have never left any comments. I've just watched and chuckled along with you a few times and then I've thought long and hard on some of your more serious points. I'm sure that when you leave us and float off with the balloons that there will be others like me that will re-upload some of your videos to keep you alive and on air. My daughter was 14 when she put me onto your channel and I'm very glad that she did. thankyou Sir...

  • beautiful! =D

  • Peter, 1./ How far away is the launch area from your window? 2./ You may not be as young as you've been in the past.. BUT..I don't think that you are too old to fly. (The 5-6 times that I was up were; very gentile & I have some back pain issues that havel lasted over 25 years

  • "Virgin" is the logo of a videogame company xD

  • I bet you could get in the basket : )

  • I'm guessing it;s quite uplifting to often see balloons rising up right outside your window...

  • How exciting!! I love Hot Air Balloons and was very excited to see a big red one on the way from Leeds to York last week. Living in Scotland as I do, hot air balloons are very rare indeed....I haven't seen one in over 20 years up here. Oh, and well done for keeping a steady camera going when that 2nd one approached just a bit too close! :)

  • Had to watch again & fav. Mary

  • NICE view!

  • What a gorgeous view you have!

  • Peter were you raised on any paticular religon? You seem to be quite a thoughtful and kind man, and this is the general goal of most religons. Do you find that if you left the religon, it still affects you?

  • Ok, I was thinking if I should or shouldnt say this but I will:

Congratulations! Your video is the only one I've ever seen that has such a great difference from "Likes" and "Dislikes"! After this one, the second video I've ever saw that had a difference from likes and dislikes was 258:1 (258 likes for every dislike). This one have 327 likes (as for now) and no dislikes! Maybe this video is, theoretically, the most well-rated in YOUTUBE!

Your "Bereavement" video was also great

  • happy it didn't hit your house.

  • That was a super, good story & vid, Peter. Mary

  • beautiful kingdom of England

  • you are great i subed

  • wow i really like the landscape its look so harmonic really good vid you done here ty 4 uploading it =)

  • Another wonderful video. Always great to hear from you!

  • What a beautiful place you live in =) I like hot air balloons but tbf I've never been so close to being hit by one.

  • Im loving where you live..

  • thats a cool view from your window, all i have is house looking back at me

  • you are so FLUFFY !! arrrrg

  • I love it

  • You have such a great view from your window, I love the English countryside, thanks for this video, it's lovely<3

  • Haha! That was great, I think I would pretty scared myself! Thanks for the great video =D

  • That's quite an exciting "close encounter." It looks like the pilot was pouring the heat on, trying to gain altitude and get over your tree, and from this angle, it doesn't look like he cleared it by much.

  • reminds me of Up

  • Such a calm voice

  • That was a wonderful sight! :)

I am delighted to see that absolutely no one disliked this. And how could anyone! It must be magical to see such magical happenings outside your window. :) The colourful balloon was especially beautiful. I enjoyed this video a lot! Many greetings :)

  • That is a lovely view from your window Peter and a realy lovely video of the balloon. I expect the people in it were quite pleased not to hit your house, I wonder if they were worried.

  • Oh my, a "Virgin Mobile" hot air balloon. I can only imagine what someone who doesn't know the company would think if they saw a big, red balloon with "Virgin" written on it.

I've always though hot air balloons were so cool! Thanks for the video, Peter!

  • They have one of these balloons at Disney World, but it is tethered. You go up 400 feet for 10 minutes. It is fun.

You are a very nice man :)

  • :-O that views so lovely, i'm jealous :-)

  • Peter I'm so jealous of your view and where you live, Im an Aussie and I love the great brown land but my Poppy was from England and I did a tour of the UK late last year and I think I found my second home, the English countryside is so beautiful and peaceful. ty for an amazing video the ballons were gorgeous, to be honest I almost wept.

  • Love it!! :)

  • @Ethan016v2 There's no one quite like Peter, lets hope thats a long long way off.

  • @Ethan016v2 I guess that they will die with me, none of my family are interested in social networking of any kind, and everyone is soon forgotten but who knows whether someone in the future who is looking back at the phenomena of how things were in the past may resurrect one of them.

  • @geriatric1927 I do hope that doesn't happen for a good time. We'll sure miss you, man.

  • @thepaullondonrug Grow up you disgusting disgrace of a human being.

  • @geriatric1927 That's very modest of you, but I don't think you'll be soon forgotten! You've had such an impact on the lives of many people, including myself.

  • @geriatric1927

After all, you're still a YouTube legend. I'm sure they won't die all of a sudden.

  • @geriatric1927 if, god forbid, you pass sometime in the near future, will there be any attempt by your friends/family to inform us? how will we know?

  • @geriatric1927 and how will we know you died?

  • @geriatric1927 Peter, when that sad day happens, if I'm still around, I will be happy to keep your channel open for you to make sure your videos remain available. As I told you before, you should burn all of your videos to a disc and send it off to me so they will not be lost. Of course, new videos you make after that I'd have to grab in FLV format but it's better than nothing. :)

  • @geriatric1927 I don't think you have to be replaced when that time comes. We are enjoying your thoughts today and that is what matters. This is your purpose right now and we are glad to be here as well for it.

  • @Ethan016v2 I hope he doesnt die for another 100 years

  • @Ethan016v2 Was that a serious question? The videos are about his life? When he dies (hopefully in the distant future) there obviously wont be any more videos.

  • @pman2626 Heh, well, I'd agree, Peter, you should watch that film, it's a very cute animated movie.

  • My goodness! Peter, you have big red whales over there with Virgin printed on their side? That must explain a lot of those weird tales of dragons from that part of the world. Over here, whales are gray, black and white, off blueish, even pinkish and whitish, but never bright red with the word Virgin printed on them with flames coming out of their butts. :)

  • brilliant....idk...isn't that what british people say? great video tho. i would love to have that view outside my window.

  • quite the lovely view you ve got there peter, my view here in san diego consists of a bustling neighborhood next to the interstate but i can see the ocean from my bedroom window and my silly cats are always lounging on the patio. cheers and take care

  • Very interesting Peter! Thank you for sharing this part of your life with us!

  • thats an awesome view

  • thanks

  • You have a garden? So is my Grandma. =)

  • @PilotGleb No offence but why is it bizzare to you to have a garden?

  • Thank you for sharing your lovely view with us!! It's not often to see countryside not marked by the show of so-called progress!!. It's nice to have space/room to breathe!! (( HUGS)))

  • That's a beautiful view!

  • youre so funny :)

  • What a beautiful view you have Peter, very nice to get to look out and see that. WOW.

    Thanks for sharing that.

  • This is sooo beautiful, Mr. Peter! I'm dying to go paint, it looks so much like a painting itself. You're so lucky, sir. ^^

  • My name is Peter too! You Rock!

  • That is awesome Peter. Thanks for sharing. To be in a hot air balloon is one of the things in my bucket list ;-)...

  • I love English countrysides. Love hot air balloons too! Nice video, sir. -Russ

  • This was lovely

  • how delightful!

  • what a beautiful view! and if i'd have to pick any ballon to crash into me, it would have to be that multi-coloured check one, the fairest of them all! thanks for a great video!x

  • You have a very lovely home. I've always wanted to move to a place like this... sadly, I'm still living in a metropolis in Canada. Hopefully though, as my business starts to take off, I can move to the UK and find myself a niche in a valley.

  • Had they landed in your garden I'm sure you would have offered them tea!

  • Such beautiful surroundings! Thank you for the video Peter! Lovely!

  • Beautiful image @ 0:40 with the mist and sunlight.

  • I like the way you pronounce "roof" Peter. Sounds awfully like the way I say it.

  • @derekcolman yes we never completely loose the Norfolk accent, not that I try but it gets modified over time. I have aways thought that it would be fun to do a conversation video between us. Send me a script and lets do it and ask viewers to guess what we are saying.

  • @geriatric1927 You did something similar to that a couple of years ago with a friend didn't you? Or am I remembering someone else's video? Maybe it was Jimsan1?

  • @geriatric1927. Sorry for late reply, been busy. That sounds like a great idea. I have never done a colab before, so I'm not quite sure how it works. I will get thinking about a script. I thought a good topic would be motorcycles, as that is something we have in common, and could probably talk all day about.

  • Beautifull view (except the cars)

  • don't know much about these things peter. are they from a balloon club, or just big weather balloons? lol

  • Aww that's quite sad that you won't get to go in one, are you sure you wouldn't be able to? I think you should research it a bit more.

  • that some plug for V. I hope they pay you some serious royalties!

  • Amazing! (:

  • "my rather dirty windows... guess I'll have to find someway to clean those..."

    this is a sweet video!!

  • I love how you say bungalow. This was so fun to watch! :D Thank you

  • Im guessing you live in basingstoke? Just a guess since it is also near lots of fields and it also had a virgin balloon over it today, but just a guess.

  • That is such a nice view!! I love watching hot air balloons :) I liked the multi coloured one!

  • Your videos are.. just.. undescribable! <3

I love them, keep them coming mate!

  • YO SIR ARE AWESOME

  • Wow!

  • good think you are fine....love the video

  • not a single dislike

  • hes living life to the fullest with youtube.

  • its call of duty commentary, senior version

  • I used to love seeing hot air balloons floating around the horizon of my city! There would often be more than one. :)

Sometimes they would land by this shopping market near my house, I thought it was very exciting to watch them set up or take down all their stuff.

I don't see them often any more, though, which is too bad!

  • I really liked this video.

  • Another amazing video! You're a legend Peter! Much love xxx

  • I love the balloon races

  • This reminds me of some WONDERFUL times!! Love you, Peter!

  • Wow...I thought maybe you had zoomed in on the balloons as they were taking off until the last moment and I seen the side of the window that you were filming from that is really close!!..lol But what a beautiful site to see...: O )

  • I loved this view :)

  • A pity that when you visited Tom it was flooded. What a crazy weekend that was. I have only recently taken Zipster;s beer cans to the recycling bins. :)

  • Thats a beautiful view, Peter. Thanks for showing us!

  • Excellent balcony view thank you Peter

  • I love hot air balloons. They actually land quite gently, however you're right that getting out of the basket is a challenge. Getting in isn't as difficult, but the ride is so great. Great video Peter - how cool to have a show like that right in front of you.

  • you are wonderful

  • Where do you live, looks very much like where i live!

  • 0 DISSLIKES!!!! CONGRATZ

  • Terrific, Peter!

  • Thank you for sharing! I love all your video's

  • You seem to live in a very beautiful place... is it far from some kind of bigger city?

  • @svsimon He lives outside of London

  • @PilotGleb Yes, WAY outside of London. :)

  • I must be the only one who thought it was HILARIOUS that the floaters almost came crashing through ur window.... I REALLY need 2work on my compassion/sensitivity --but meanwhile-- ctfuroflmAolololol

PS: I've always loved ur view. It's like Mother Nature can give u a personal hug every single day, rain or shine *adoring sigh*

  • excellent video!!

  • OMG what a beautiful place to live!

  • My wife and I got married in Disney's Cinderella's Castle Balloon live on TV (due to Disney wanting to use it as a promotion). Great fun and people talked about it for years. We were to fly over a professional football game, but the wind got to strong to allow that.

  • I want to be you when im older! :D

  • Cool video:]

  • What a grand view! I love the road in the distance with the bus passing by. so close by and you've not done it? I've heard the same about balloon rides. I have a friend who paid $500.00 for he and his wife to take a ride in one. That's outrageous! Is it expensive to ride them in England as well?

  • I've never seen a whale coming up from the sea in my life. I'll take your word for it, this is what it would look like. lol

  • Wow, what an amazing view :)

  • That is very cool

  • thanks for sharing =) make sure you always have your knickers on peter those balloons do come in pretty close to your house. They might be video taping or taking pics.

    Have a great weekend!

  • your view is very lovely

  • You are so lovely, thankyou for doing what you do [=

  • Wow what a serene and gorgeous view you have every day! Thanks for sharing your corner of the world with us. :)

  • Simply amazing ;-)>

  • Peter what a view from you window. What a neat idea for a video we should all do a reply looking out our windows!!! All I have is a huge former Mountain that could explode! A clue I live on ST. Helens Ave!!!!! Fantastic Video.

  • @k6tpl Yes Jer that would be good, don't understand the pun about the "huge former mountain" but guess that it is not pretty. Many people have done videos showing their towns which I find interesting.

  • @geriatric1927 If you Google "ST. Helens" images, all will be clear:)

  • @geriatric1927 Mt. St. Helens which blew in the early 80's is out the back window.

  • I have never seen a hot air balloon this close to me. Great vid!

  • Wow, you have an awesome view out your window!!

  • "The wooded hills beyond" sounds like the start to a fairytale.

  • Where does getriatric live? cause i'd really love to move there that view is awesome

  • @lmaothe1 England. :)

  • @Argentium009 Wow.. nice detailing on his whereabouts..

  • @lmaothe1 Ummmm... Yeah, er, Peter's sorta kinda a private kind of person, regardless of the major invasions of his privacy over the past few years. He never wanted his location to be known. (Blame Wikipedia, those scumbags). Send him a private message if you're serious, he reads them and might be willing to give you the general location.

  • wonderful...

  • i would love my cause of death to be a hot air balloon crashing through my window!! What a jolly way to go lol
