@navydoctrinidad Whether it was called a "parody" or a tribute, it's still is not the way Liberace should have been portrayed. I knew him personally for many years and even though he had a good sense of humor, I don't think he would have appreciated this parody.
@keyboardmagic We disagree amicably I hope. I think he would have a ball with it. Don't forget, and you knew him, he loved to poke fun at himself. But overriding all, he was a master showman and brilliant talent. Good Day. Charlie
@navydoctrinidad He did poke fun at himself as you said, but it was mainly about the costumes, which he always said were "an expensive joke". He use to say "they can laugh at my costumes, but not my playing.". As you said, 'he was a master showman and brilliant talent', which some tend to forget. Thanks for listening and have a wonderful day....PS - Didn't mean to be so critical with my remarks...
Mr. Ralston is amusing to a point with this 'tribute' to Liberace. However, I have to say we never saw Liberace 'play' the piano in this uncouth way in any of his concerts or on TV. Let us not forget that Liberace was a world-class pianist & entertainer who brought pleasure to millions with his music and showmanship. To portray him in this way is all wrong and definitely uncomplimentary.
