-Im an Armenian myself but I don't understand why people did this. Destroying the stores, cars, streets, etc only hurt Armenia in another words why destroy what we have built???

in a way, they did..most of the stores looted belonged to state-sponsored oligarchs. the armenian population, many of which had come from villages in the area saw how the well connected were living, and too revenge on corruption
