I don't understand.You are saying that we must forgive,even if those who sinned against us don't ask us to forgive them?Why then does God require us to ask for forgiveness?Can't He just forgive us?

I don't understand why you say I must forgive others,even if they don't ask,but God won't forgive me,unless I ask.Plus I must continue to obey.I s this what you are saying?Why must I do more for other people than God will do for me? Is this what the bible says?
Hi,I was wondering,Jesus cried out on the cross,"forgive them,for they know not what they do".This was a prayer for those that crucified Him.Those people were not repentant,were they forgiven? Jesus said that the Father always answered His prayers.Thanks for your insights
