What's so hard about the pronounciation? I think what throws English speakers is the orthography. Unless you have a pretty good grasp of Eastern European languages, the average Anglophone can't make heads or tails of "Trzetrzelewska. "
@TheMJG1 "Chez" is French for "Very"- it was a play on words to say that the Lady Basia has Style, Grace, & so much MORE. Basia is charming, fresh, funny & very hip- Chez Chique!!!. She is just "all that & then some!" I have been hooked on her musical stylings since I 1st heard her on American Radio back in the 1980's. But Heeeeeeeeeey thanks for the interaction AND your English is FAR better than my Polish! :-P
Of all the really interesting things that CNN could have shown Basia talking about.. they pick how to pronounce her damn name. They were dumb! She had those rad shows going on that were selling out nightly, about to do an historic tour in Poland... and that was the best they could have come up with?
This item was about artists with hard names to pronounce. Basia Trzetrzelewska was one of them (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio was of the others). I only cut out the part about Basia.

So refreshing she is. Not run of the mill media hyped artists, but a true artist!
