Wonderful effort! Those were the days, eh? When kids actually paid attention to stuff like this. Now, they don't care because text-messaging has turned them all into... I doin't know what.
I always had a great fondness for Silent E. He/she always seemed to a very kind and caring vowel....
Well. he's deceased now, so I doubt we could get him even if we did want him. BTW, do you suppose "who can turn a tap into a tape" was a reference to Nixon?
No, but I do remember that for the Mets (Mr. Met is on the teshirt.), 1972 was "The Wrong Season" (a book by Joel Oppenheimer, who is also deceased since 1988).
The Mets could use Tom Seaver now! Of course, David Wright wasn't born yet to play third base, the Met hole back then.
Keep my searching for a Heart of Gold, while Alone Again (Naturally), with a Horse with No Name, the Candy Man, and Knights in White Satin, searching for American Pie and other popular songs I've omitted from 1972! (:D
Well, actually it's rather sub-par compared to my son's version. If you'd like to see something really cute, you can check my channel page for the two videos of my sons singing.
Awesome, this one and with your kid... he is so cute and so are you.. nice voice ;)

Thank you. I had to Google "Neil Finn", but thank you. In any case, my two little boys are by far the best looking guys in my immediate family.

What shocks me is that it's been thirtyseven, yes, thirtyseven years, since I heard this song in early 1972. Anyone for four more years of Nixon?

This was fun to do, but of course my son Micheal is the real star of the Silent E song ( as you can see in our Silent E Duet video ).
