Just for future reference, "i" in croatian is prounounced like the english "e". So "Vis" is like saying the letter V with an "s" at the end. Likewise for "Bisevo", and the "s" in this case has an accent and is pronounced like the sound "sh".
I'm not a native speaker but I hear the language often and this is what I've noticed :)
It was nice to hear the clock tower at the end, it's one of the things I miss the most of the town.
you must be an american listening to your speech patterns. i am a 60 y.o professional, artist--would this area maintain my intellectual outdoor interests--or is it just another tourist area??? john miller
jpmill - Vis is highly recomended. I have been there twice and for sure I will be back, Of couse there are tourists, but you can easily be alone too. Warning for the heat during summer though,,maybe coose may or september. If you go then be sure to visit restaurent Jastozera in Komiza. Visit Stoncica too. Vis has my warmest recomendation.
i am a robust 71 y.0. physician who is a skilled bas relief artist. would there be a venue to sell to the tourists, i don't have a web site yet. what are the medical facilities like---sent a note to the tourist board of vis--never have receiveed an answer. dr. john
There was a fairly small one recently built in the nearby town of Vis, but for any substantial injury one would need to go to the town of Split, a 2 hour ferry ride away. Quite inconvenient.
hahaha i love the way you pronounce all the names. but i loooove komiza. my grandparents own a house there. i wanna go back so badly!

Aside from the wildly incorrect pronunciation, this really was filmed nicely! Vis is wonderful.
