The Sentinel is one of six classes in Mass Effect, the others being Solider, Engineer, Adept, Infiltrator, and Vanguard. They all have their pros and cons. The interesting thing about this video is that Sentinels are well known for being a support class yet the player is doing surprisingly well without any teammates and on the hardest difficultly.

There is no "best class" as they all have their own styles of gameplay. The Sentinel uses both biotics and tech but if you want to specialize in biotics then you should be an Adept while if you want to specialize in tech you would be an engineer.

Well, the Vanguard combines the offensive powers of both the Soldier(Combat) and Adept(Biotics). If you're playing as a Vanguard you're most likely going to be the one doing the killing while your teammates play the support role(depending on who's in your squad). The cool thing about the Vanguard is that not only can you focus on combat, but you can also help your teammates out with your biotics.

It's all about the player, you can solo insanity on any class as long as you know what you're doing. So really there's no best class.

well i've beaten the game 4 times already, in a lvl.60 vanguard, have the best armor and weapons, and i have maxed out all of the credits and omni-gel and im still tryin to find out how to equip the assault rifle and the singularity. please help

It becomes that easy when you use "Singularity" frequently because unlike "Throw" or "Lift" you can immobilize a whole crowd with it. In that way it is just overpowered ...

Damn man..your recharge time is heroic. What is that..18-20 seconds? I wish xbox made it so the powers were more easily accessible like they are on PC. Oh well, no big. Hopefully they'll make an adjustment for that somehow in ME2. I don't understand how you're able to inflict damage on the enemies while they're in stasis.

Well, if you're near level 60 with the best weapons, armory and skills it isnt that much suprising...play it with a level 0 character on insanity solo, that would be amazing ;)

My soldier was so good i could stand up to a thresher maw and win... how?! well i had the commando special, and imunity all the way up, so it recharged within 20 seconds, but immunity lasted 30 seconds... and with the immunity specialization you deflect 90% of damage instead of 80%... fun stuff...

SlicGW, you sir convinced me to get this for the PC. I had it for the xbox360 and I loved the game, but seeing what you can do on the PC, well, it is just amazing. It feels so much more fluid and has much more action. Thanks for uploading these vids and showing the higher tiers of playing on Mass Effect!

This looks like fun. Mass effect console there is a pause and aim menu for using squad abilitys. But the controller cant map every ability. On this I seen you just doing it all in real time

BTW, for console i had a glitch happen where my squadmates just dissapeared on me, it was on the citadel in the reaper invasion. There were no dead allies, just no names or allies next to me. In the ending cutscenes you see alliance soldiers Carrying invisable people. It was a serious glitch. Dont know the cause. I was an Adept Bastion playing insanity, Great challenge

IMO, the biotics classes are more fun than the other 3. So I'd say Adept or Sentinel would be your best bet.

How do you go solo? I always get forced to take my squad with me? I play the 360 version though and this looks like the PC. dunno if that makes a difference or not.

Yeah, you can only kill squadmates in the PC version. The PC version lets me go into the keybind ini file and bind a key to a command that instagibs whatever I target. No need to enable console or cheats, I just point at dumb squadmate and press the key. :)

What do you think the best class is? i think it's the vanguard, because it can go the tank, or the dps route and has good crowd control abilities. My favorite class is the sentinel. Btw I'm "the last assassin" on the ME forums.

My personal favorite is Vanguard, followed by Adept and Sentinel. I just like biotics I guess - they really speed things up.

What did you do at 0:40? They just vaporize? Master Electronics, Neural Shock? No weapon skill? So I don't actually need one for pure biotic build or as a bonus skill?

One more thing. Supposedly Mass Effect 2 will have some sort of reload crap or some sort of "heat sinks mods" to discard, so there will be short pause and not continuous shooting like now, which means you could be more vulnerable.

Singularity + Overload. Really, any tech mine with aoe damage will do. The short answer is I take advantage of poor map design. The long answer is:

I set off the explosive canisters on the 2nd floor, whose explosions clip through the ceiling and the upper right wall of the stairway. The only reliable way to make sure all the enemies are close enough to the ceiling is to round them up with Singularity.
