  • GOD, GOD, GOD!

  • George Harrison believed in God, just not in the traditional sense. He believed in a God higher than the Christian, Muslim, Buhidist, Jewish, Shinto...or any other human created religion. I think he saw all human beings as one religion, one higher being. When will the rest of the World see Truth.

  • George has changed to a GOD, everyday I think of him,

  • this isnt george harrison... this is terrifying, he probably just had a "george go in" for the day.

"poverty" you are a prankster mikey

  • What inner strength George had. BrainWashed is for me up there with All Things Must Pass and Cloud9.

  • one people already brainwashed

  • Please get rid of all the stupid arguing posts - to ERR is human, to delete is divine. For an artist who believed so much in peace.... ARRRG

  • George, like John, Cool. They're telling us we're more than they say we are. We can be so much more than than we think. Must stop everything for a few weeks to be better than we are. Pick it up in a few weeks then choose to be better.

  • People please adhere to his last message to the world, stop the brainwashing!

  • :-) One of the funniest songs I´ve ever heard ... ;-). Thank you George for me finding God. I´m catholic. Miss you Tom

  • Must be something I forgot down on BULLSHIT Avenue...best line EVER

  • Taught-thoughts passed down from one generation after the other....

  • nice try...

  • Some weird comments here.

  • Happy B-day George!

  • I owned this album years ago and lost it. just reordered off amazon, can't wait for it to arrive.

absolute classic album. George has always been overshadowed by john and paul unfortunately.

  • where did this extended cut come from!? I have all of Georges stuff but not this

  • I'm not sure about this, but I'm suspecting the poster has made his own extended cut. If you listen to the extension in headphones, you can clearly hear that it's identical to one of the verses and refrains, only with the main vocals muted using some sort of karaoke voice removal-function, I'm guessing. I could be wrong, though. And the extension is quite cool, though it would have been cooler had the sound quality matched the rest of the song. Great song anyway. :)

  • thxs....so much truth

I heard he asked Olivia, his wife, not to release his last CD BRAINWASHED until his depsrture from Earth.

Does anybody knows if it is true?

Also, did he ever joined the (bad) guru of his wife, Prem Rawat?

Thanks for the upload and thanks George for all the years of inspiration!!

    Namaste

  • lifeflower - George wrote and recorded "Brainwashed" right after hearing John Lennon's "Working Class Hero". At first, Olivia thought he was doing a cover of John's song until she noticed the words were completely different. Olivia, who figured she had lost enough of her inheritance money to the Chiffons because of George's "unintentional" plagiarism, begged George to CHANGE the song. Once he did, he told her there was no longer any need to release this AFTER his death since he had changed it.

  • @CubanCheGuevara you make a series of falsehoods. John's Working Class Hero is a two-chord A minor to G major tune.Brainwashed employs a different melody and more sophisticated chord sequence. The Chiffons never sued Harrison. Allen Klein did. Harrison left his family a 200 million dollar inheritance. Olivia "begging" George? Absurd. Your hatred of George is your business. Your fabrications, however, take you down the road of right-wingers. It is beneath you.

  • @CubanCheGuevara, Lennon wrote Working Class Hero in 1970. Harrison wrote Brainwashed in the late 1990s. Your chronology is demonstrably false. Working Class Hero is a two-chord dirge in A minor. Brainwashed is a multi-chord song, modulating from major to minor and shifting from 4/4. It includes The Yoga Aphorisms of Patanjali.

The fact speaks for themselves. Respectfully, it is your business to hate, but not to present your animus as "fact."

  • @CubanCheGuevara

Another English lesson for FrightWolf (frightenedpoodle)

    "ERR"

    Function: intransitive verb

to make a mistake b : to violate an accepted standard

    "Tee Hee."

  • @lifeflower1111 I hope you will note the following facts versus CubanChe's false claims: Lennon wrote Working Class Hero in 1970. Harrison met Olivia in the late 1970s. Harrison wrote Brainwashed in the late 1990s. Thus, Harrison did not compose Brainwashed "right after hearing" Lennon's dirge.Olivia wasn't even around in 1970 to give her feedback. Harrison didn't complete the album before he died; he was too sick and weak . His son and Lynn completed it based upon Harrison's notes. FACTS.

  • @MrBlankmystere - Harrison met the Mexican born Olivia Hussy at a record studio in East L.A. She had been cleaning the studio floor with a mop when he came by. Still smarting from his recent divorce from the attractive sex-kitten Pattie Boyd, George decided that an aging, somewhat unattractive illegal alien might be a safer kind of girlfriend. They started dating as soon as George found a translator. When he told her who he was, she just said "oh, that's nice" in Spanish.

  • @CubanCheGuevara, do you really think that appropriating all-American racism and sexism will exculpate you from the weight of your falsehoods? They won't. As to the blond "sex kitten," well, she pales, in a manner of speaking, to the dark-eyed lady Olivia. That you will eschew your supposedly liberal ideals in a heartbeat to slime an artist you cannot do by any valid means speaks more of your "values" than it does of George's...or "illegal aliens" for that matter.

  • @MrBlankMystere - Nothing "racist" here. I hire Mexicans all the time to do my filthy work. After reading how Olivia came to the rescue of her pathetic husband, I'm rather impressed by her. She functions not only as a breeder but as a guard dog. I read how George tried to fend-off the knife wielding home-invader by chanting "Hare Krishna! Hare Krishna!" at his face. After stabbing George 17 times, it was clear Krishna wasn't having the desired effect. Bring on Olivia! The REAL man of the house!

  • @CubanCheGuevara, "Everything 'racist' here." You have drafted a Mexican woman, Olivia, to "rescue" YOUR "pathetic" and pathological attack on an artist, musician, and man who achieved more in five minutes of his life on this planet than what you have achieved in your lifetime. "Breeder?" "Guard dog?" Who cares what "impresses" you. Your animus renders you into an envious sick, twisted racist and sexist liar, as your posts have proved. Get a shrink. Get a conscience. Get a life.

  • @ Blankfrack You legless fuck! You spend your waking hours on Youtube and you think I should "get a life"? What is it with you? It seems to me that George Harrison was about as good at fending off home-invaders as you are in writing. That his wife had to come to his rescue makes me think that maybe Olivia should've been helping him write music all this time too! Hey, what's it like being in a wheelchair, day after day, month after month, year after year? You ever want to just get up and run?

  • @CubanCheGuevara, you brainless demagogue! You waste your unproductive hours on YouTube. " What is it with you?" It seems that yoru irrelevance hurts you, and you neither think rationally nor write effectively. Still you attempt to slime Harrison's widow as you slander her late husband. Hey, what's it like simmering in hatred and the oblivion, day after day, month after month, and year after year? Clearly, you just (see? no split infinitive!) want others to think your life matters. It doesn't.

  • @MrAnusmystere- LOL Do you know you have grammar ticks? These pesky little verbal hiccups that tend to blemish your posts. I mean, this is YT and normally I wouldn't even care. However, since you pride yourself on expressive writing I must ask you why you pollute your tomes with these grammatical oddities. For example: why do you put things in quotes when it is "YOU" that's making the "statement"? I mean, "sometimes", you don't seem to "be" quoting "anyone". Not even "me"! Please do "explain".

  • @CubanCheGuevara, LOL. Do you know you display no knowledge of grammar at all? "I mean, this is YT, and clearly you don't even care." Indeed. Since you "pride" yourself in all things you have never achieved, you care not for those "pesky" little "hiccups," such as correct punctuation. Your defensiveness, lurid animus, and general incompetence continue unabated. "Please do 'explain.'"

  • @MrAngemystere Well, actually...you did misuse your quotation marks. You quoted Cuban's "this is YT, and clearly YOU don't even care" should only have had the quotation marks around HIS WORDS, not yours. I mean, if you're going to quote him properly you should have said "this is youtube and usually I don't care". Sorry, I just hate bad grammar!

  • @TwoUselessPosts, as always, you err on points of grammar. Case in point: "Permissible Changes" 11.8-11.10, The Chicago Manual of Style. You see, Two Useless Posts, you advertise just how little you actually know about "bad grammar!" "Sorry, I just hate" the uninformed ripostes from ignorant, bloviating idiots such as yourself. How are those G.E.D. prep courses coming along, Ms. Troll?

  • @MrAngemystere what a internet career you've had: musician, nurse, systems analysis, therapist, Nathan Forsts and Phillhelleses personal rectum cleaner and now you're the grammar police with your spell check.

  • @60schickisaDUDE, To sum up your pestilent existence you mistake for a "life," you have never had a "career," internet or otherwise. You are too lazy and too brain damaged to commit yourself to any form of mastery, other than that which involves pleasuring yourself. You refer to me as the "grammar police," as I have busted you, your alter-troll egos, and your wretchedly ignorant coterie for your simultaneous pretensions to mediocrity and inability to write a coherent sentence. Tool.

  • @60schickisaDUDE, you never said you had a brain, either. We can take it then from the evidence of your idiocies that you know you are very stupid, especially given that as through the internet "you can be anything you want," you choose to advertise your blatant stupidity. Telling, very telling...

  • @thegrinchl7: "Dude," I am "dumping on you" because you are an ignorant fool. You advertise your ignorance, yet again, by claiming that "err" is in error. What ignorance!!! LOOK UP THE FOLLOWING ENTRY IN ANY ENGLISH LANGUAGE DICTIONARY:

"ERR: err (ʉr, er) intransitive verb, to be wrong or mistaken; fall into error"

Once again, I mock your stupidity, as yet again, you ERR.

    TOOL.

  • @MrAngemystere lol Grinch is tearing you up

  • This song is really, really great. I really respec George: he didin't let himself down because of that fucking cancer but went to the studio. And the outcame album is great! Brainwashed is almost best of Harrison's albums, after All Things Must Pass, of course!

  • Great Song...from a great CD

  • Comment removed

  • WHAT! this is from the last album he made before he died. This is the newest (last)george harrison cd.

  • it's not a good idea to comment on something that you don't understand. george harrison is a legend, that is all.

  • is the truth. Read my post below. That is what I remember hearing in a radio program.

It was not released until his death, as he requested?

What a song: He threw the pie on their face!! Thanks George.

  • Georgeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! Love you for ever!!!!

  • GOD GOD GOD-page 130

  • We are brainwashed by everything in our lives.. Even down on Bullshit Avenue... I know God loves me for who I am and that George was respectful to all people.. being disabled I get a lot of BS from so called religious people.. They told me that my CP was the result of my parents sins.. Like George I will never except defeat and just keep living life the best I can...

  • There are no words than just saying One of The Best Ever

  • I'm glad they decided cut out the end part, in the finished version. The "brainwashed" part sounded too much like "ELO" before they ended. Great song, otherwise. One of my favorites from that CD.

  • They didn't

    Its on the Album

  • @rjt002001 this is just a homemade "end part" you can hear the barely deleted voice of george...

  • Brainwashed by the Beatles!

  • Great song, Mikey ! Thanks for posting this ! I'm positive that George was hip to it all. He was right in the middle of it & he fought it every way that he could ! I think his religious beliefs helped him to fight it !

  • Interesting Lyrics. I didn't have heard this one.

  • indeed interesting lyrics!!!

one of the reasons why i posted it :- )
