Si, The problem with the concept is that increasing taxes on the wealthy historically not only doesn't increase gov. revenues but thwarts private industry growth. The resultant deficit spending means the Fed prints more money which devalues everybody's money even the poor. Ergo, rampant inflation, a hidden tax on everyone not just the rich. This is not a partisan concept, it's basic economics. Robbing Peter to pay Paul just doesn't work
What does it matter if you're a giver or a receiver. Redistribution of wealth is a socialist concept. If you're for it, that's your choice. The results of socialist programs have been devastating in the past and I expect them to be so again if BO becomes a rubber stamp for a left leaning Congress. The bottom line economically is that you cannot increase government spending without first increasing productivity as reflected by the GDP. Sorry,I'm a Social Studies teacher;I tend to ramble.
