Actually, we pay roughly 35% in taxes, and we have some of the lowest tax rates amongst industrialized nations. You probably benefited from the tax cuts that were part of the stimulus package that was signed into law earlier this year. The same (single) stimulus bill that has helped the economy stabilize and recover over the past year. BTW, Congress is also working on comprehensive financial regulation, and its 'wringing,' not 'ringing.'

I like how much Rush has felt liberated over the last 2 elections. George W ruined our US economy and he said nothing but support for him. Now that plans to fix the economy for our country are being created, Rush will need to be liberated even more for his hate of Americans. There are reasons that the Republicans have been voted out of office, and he is clueless to why he and his supporters are the minority.

at bottom socialism is about fairness. Every one deserves a chance to succeed. Conservatives, on the other hand, believe that we should ALL work hard, but that only they will be rich. They disrespect honest work. The truth is the rich are nothing without the poor workers they manage to basically enslave every day.
