I'd be curious to see how a Ford Econoline would fare against the Transit's time. After all, the beast comes with a 4.6L V-8 in classic American tradition. Probably doesn't handle as well, but given the amount of time Sabine had her foot to the floor, I think horsepower would account for a lot.

I drive Sprinters for about 7 years. Honestly, i prefer Mercedes, in the max (longest) version, i.e. 316 CDI i easily reach 140-150 km/h... sometimes (if the road is clear) over 160 km/h. And no transit overtakes me. Sprinter forever :)))
