  • Wow I very like your interpretation!

I tried some parts of this piece and gave it up.

    The lyrical part is hard.

  • Wow.... f'n amazing! Very powerful.

Has anyone ever played this on an electric guitar?

  • oooooh yesss!!!!! your interpretation like that of lisitsa is one of the better... but you're still second...i love her too much to take her to the second place...

  • dude, ive listened to your turkisch march and its great

im playin it by myself too and i know how much practice is required to play that piece..

    great job :)

  • LOOOL nobody's clapping at the end

  • Because I played another piece after this one..the turkish march.

It looks kinda sad in this video though..

  • Hey kid don't sweat it. Just be glad you did better than Lang Lang.

  • why isn't anybody clapping after he finished

  • I'm 15 years old and I've got piano lessons for 1 and a half year. I am working on the fourth page .

but I parctise e-bass and guitarre and drums before ;)

  • Great Piece Emiel. I'm leaning this piece myself. The beginning was perfect. you hit the tempo many people don't get right (only according to me of course) Just be careful, it dosen't goes faster than yourself. but overall. great job :)

  • I'm playing this peace too, 17 years old now and playing over some 7/8 years (Belgium) :)

Yesterday I even performed it for a group of people. I think your version is good, it's very hard to play the piece, but I think you used a little too much power and too much pedal. But that's the problem I also had to work on very much. I always love the middle part, because it's so great and poetic, hmmmm!

  • Wrong note right at the begining-oops!

  • wow very good...

  • Wow, really good.

    I'm just starting this piece.

I'm 14 and have played for 7 years.

How do u do it so well?

Cuz the chords are really hard especially the big ones after the first section.

And the third third section, the softer one, u did the left hand really well!

You play the singing section slowly, and I love that. I do it the same tempo.

John Browning always said that sections played "evenly" sound faster than they really are. I like that, and I think it's true.

Overall, I think your wonderful skills are better suited to less virtuosic pieces, even though you can cleary execute them beautifully.

As a summary, I'd love to hear your Mozart, and sing it musically.

  • Emiel: Fantastic!

I've played this prelude since I was a kid. I have a few suggestions. There are a couple of places (naturally) designed to pause and rest slightly, even in the fast sections. Take advantage of them. I do...

Your audience (even the pros) will not sense it, but it will help your accuracy of attack, especially in the bass. You already do some of this.

  • Well done!

I've been playing piano for ten years at age sixteen, and I am now starting to learn this piece...hopefully, I'll be able to play it as well as you.

  • Wow, very good! How long have you been playing? It isn't said in your profile text:)

  • I'm playing the piano since the age of 6, and took lessons at age 7. I'm 18 years old now, so I play the piano for 11/12 years.

  • awesome!

  • Is it just me, or did you get incredibly fast when you did the Eb-Major Chords?

  • yeah maybe I kinda rushed it there...

  • I love the tempo of the first section. The Eb section suggests that you could do to that entire section (i.e., the first 2 pages)faster if you wanted to. I actually prefer your tempo. The middle section didn't flow melodically as much for me at that tempo. Increasing the tempo might help move it along or really getting down into the keys. I love the power you bring to the piece.

  • Amazing! That's talent right there!

It's not perfect, but it's definitely close

    Keep up the awesome work

  • Good overall, but watch some of the intonation.

  • Good, but watch some of the notes.

  • Mooi gespeeld, trouwens!:D

  • Goede interpretatie. Als je zin en tijd hebt, luister ook es ff naar Cziffra (ook bij mijn favorieten) enne..gefeliciteerd met de eerste prijs natuurlijk.

  • Heej Emiel, nog gefeliciteerd met je 1ste prijs!!!

  • Excellent. And I hear that you like Richter's interpretation, too! (Groeten aan Uw tante en oom. Tot ziens!))
